THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Btw...December Challenge Info/Theme Here!!!!!!!!

AgentSmith ( ) posted Sat, 07 December 2002 at 4:06 AM · edited Sat, 25 January 2025 at 5:32 PM

No, the November voting isn't over, it's gonna start real soon, just waiting on one more entry. BUT...what we do know is this; December is a tight time for everyone's schedule, and Novembers challenge has run over anyway so... The winner of the November challenge will decide on the theme of the JANUARY Challenge. The December Challenge will be short and sweet with no voting, no pressure, just fun. We want to make it easier on everyone and then back to business as usual in January. Decembers Challenge will be December/Winter/Christmas themed. Not everyone's December looks the same, some have snow, some have summer weather. Different people celebrate differently in December. So, I'll go ahead and throw out the idea that Decembers "Challenge" be how YOUR December, or Celebrating looks to you, wherever you are in the world. Or, what it means to you. Please feel free to start on Decembers Challenge ASAP. AgentSmith

To me christmas is hyped up may to much by a lot of people. So I think the best way to show christmas is in its natural habbitat. The real beauty can only be found in the country. I bet in 100 years people will go, "what the hell is christmas all about". "I don't know lets watch blue peter and find out". "Who the hell is Jesus".

![rap.jpg](http://bk70.homestead.com/files/rap.jpg)Not sure if this is where i post this, i'm new to this. Name of painting is "Butterfly Christmas"......Hope i did this right.

jack965 ( ) posted Sun, 22 December 2002 at 4:19 AM

I am very confused by that image. It seems very random with no purpose. But I like the colours but i don't see the link with christmas, except the scary teddy that could be a christmas gift i suppose.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Sun, 22 December 2002 at 5:09 AM

Butterflies are entitled to celebrate christmas too and I like the scarey teddy. Catlin

Well, christmas amount to presents, no snow and ... making a christmas card. Done in bryce with a partial lens flare added in photopaint

So i guess no one likes it... sorry. Merry Christmas anyway

AgentSmith ( ) posted Mon, 23 December 2002 at 11:40 PM

Lol...no, it's great, but I would also suggest posting this to a brand new post in the Bryce forum, the only members who would see this would only be the ones whom posted into this thread, and even they may not, if they don't get an e-bot for this thread, or if they ignored the e-bot. Post anew, lol. AgentSmith

Yes sorry, don't get me wrong, the image isn't what a lot of people are used to here. The colours are very vibrant, and consistent. There is a lot of colours in the image and you have managed to keep them all in sink. I surgest that you invest in some grass textures because i don't think that texture for the ground is not a good close up one to use.

ok Thank you all for the comments and suggestions, like i said i'm pretty new to this, but i love working with the bryce program. and Again Thanks ......:)

Please stop saying you are new. A lot of people are new to this. But you don't have to make an excuse so that people take pity on you. STOP IT. People respect peoples work depending on how much effort and thought has gon into the image.

BigKat70_ ( ) posted Wed, 25 December 2002 at 7:08 PM

I'm not looking for Pity.....Just stating a fact.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Thu, 26 December 2002 at 3:37 AM

jack969, do have something against BigKat70? I think your posts are getting a bit aggressive and this does not follow the TOS you agreed to when you joined. Seasons greetings to you and I do hope you have a happy new year. Catlin

AgentSmith ( ) posted Thu, 26 December 2002 at 10:47 AM

I wore a "I'm new" shield for a while, lol. It was a little comforting to do so when I first started posting, just because everyone elses stuff was intimidatingly good, or at least that's how I saw it, lol. In my opinion, no one takes pity on you here BigKat70, and it's fine that you're new here and to Bryce. Posting creative work can be a little nerve-racking `cause you're exposing something you take personal on some level, to scrutiny (good or bad). When I put up the Dec Challenge, (as in any challenge) you have to make it your own and create what you like, not (always) what the stereotypical response would be. (In this case, snow and Christmas trees.) Keep on rendering, keep on posting, keep us informed where Bryce takes you and where it takes you. Everyone else...play nice with the other members...Thanks and happy holidays everyone. AgentSmith Moderator

i'm with catlin here....jack965, u r obviously a very angry person and why u r attacking bigkat70 i dunno....noone is making u read the posts they leave and they can say what they want!...btw your post is very average as it is, so i suggest u keep your arrogant comments to yourself.... and i can't see how u can be confused by the pic they posted anyway! a christmas tree being decorated is much more christmassy then your pic! sorry A.S i had to let off that little bit of steam....i'll play nice from now on!

jack965 ( ) posted Wed, 01 January 2003 at 12:58 PM

What a Hypocrite. Anyway i just don't think that you should go around sating you are new, who cares. Anyway I really don't care about what you think. It's like this massive argument you start on your own. JUST PLEASE STOP THIS CHILDISH NAME CALLING RUBBISH. I will be going to my anger management very soon. :(

catlin_mc ( ) posted Wed, 01 January 2003 at 1:32 PM

Hope you are feeling calmer after you go to anger management jack965. My mother always said, "take a deep breath and count to ten," always works for me...NOT. But it's worth trying. Happy new year everyone hope you have a good one. Best wishes Catlin

AgentSmith ( ) posted Wed, 01 January 2003 at 3:37 PM

Yes, Happy New Year everyone. Any other entries/final versions for the Dec. Challenge should be put in a new post in the Bryce gallery. (I'll be putting them together today for viewing later on) New or experienced, we will keep our comments on the constructive side of the fence. Jack, these last few posts flirt with being personal attacks, can't have that here. Please take a moment (everyone). Thanks for understanding. AgentSmith [locked]
