Thank you. I 'adapted' the old karynsansmakeup to Vicky, but appreciate a real live Freckles tex by you G. She's really a lovely, natural looking beauty to my eyes. This Cosmo hair suits her very well. Diane B

Diane, is it possible to post as something other than .sit? I did not have good results trying to unzip it with Alladin with previous posts. OR--maybe someone can tell me something else to unzip it with, please. I'm on PC, obviously. I stopped the dl when I saw it was a .sit. Diane B

Really nice. Had an ex that was freckly like this ... off to download

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 8:15 AM

Diane TG--just dled Alladin again and am going to try. I'll let you know how it goes. Maybe the new 5.0 version will work better for me. Diane B

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 8:22 AM

Picnic .. You might try using Netscape if you are using IE .. I thought it was simply a Mac thing but it might be an IE/stuffit thing ..

Ikyoto ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 8:38 AM

As long as DTG doesn't mind I'll turn it into a TIFF and ZIP it for us Mac-imaired folks.

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 9:48 AM

Hey, Ikyoto--dled Aladin Expander 5.0 and it works great (and easily). I'm okay if others are. I'd recommend getting this since it deals with a lot of other formats too (I've always just used Winzip)-the earlier version of Aladin would not work correctly for me--but then I was using Win95 and now 98--don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. That's what I use. But I can't get this monster sized file to DL. I'll get it when I'm at work.. better connection.

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 10:05 AM

Ikyoto or someone--now, what do we PC folks do with .pict files (which are the .bmps)?. I vaguely remember something--but it eludes me. And, yes--file was a biggie. Diane B

f91 ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 1:22 PM

DTHUREGRIF Thank you sharing these wonderful textures. Picnic try rename .pict to .pct than Poser will convert to .bum. It works for me. Gerry :)

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 1:39 PM

Thanks--the problem with that is I can't use them in Bryce then. I'll do that for Poser, but does someone have a solution for use in Bryce? Diane B

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 1:56 PM

Diane, you can convert the pict files to tiff in Photoshop or (hopefully) PSP. If you can't, let me know and I'll convert them for you and email them to you. Iky, if you can't DL them I'll send them to you ICQ. Diane G

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 1:58 PM

Hey there .. I use a mac but they should open no problem. There is no bmp but it is a bump nonetheless .. just have to convert it over. You should be able to open them in any paint program and save them to whatever format you want ... Good luck

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 2:13 PM

I've tried opening them in PSP6 and it says they are not supported files/thus I can't open them to convert. I tried renaming to .pct and the same. PSP6 does support Mac PICT/.pct format. Diane B

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 2:22 PM

Have tried opening with everything I have (Adobe PhotoDeluxe, Painter Classic, PSP6--no soap). Also tried renaming to .pct and opening in Poser to convert to .bum, but Poser wouldn't 'see' it either. Hmmmm. Diane B

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 2:43 PM

Diane, what format can you use? I'll email them to you. Diane G

Ghostofmacbeth ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 3:23 PM

Dang, my Bryce and stuff open it fine ...Sorry picnic ..

martialf ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 6:46 PM

Une texture merveilleuse.I use it during afternoon and make a red hair texture for her. Thanks and thanks a lot!

picnic ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 7:37 PM

Diane TG--LOL--looks like I can use anything BUT .pict (.tiff, etc.). Thanks a lot. If anyone else is using PSP, I'd appreciate knowing if they had the same problem. You do understand that I have the textures fine. It is positively beautiful and since Karynsansmakeup for P4 was my favorite and most used texture, I expect this will be the same S. Diane B

DTHUREGRIF ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 7:48 PM

You've got mail, Diane

JeffH ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 10:55 PM

None of the files would open for me either. Quicktime even crashed trying to open them. Un-archived JPEG is the best format for sharing textures on the net I think. -JH.

JeffH ( ) posted Sun, 23 April 2000 at 11:37 PM

Looks like the problems were my fault; expander converted the files to text corrupting the binary. That's one beautiful texture, thanks for posting it. -JH.
