I have been away for a while and want to find out what ever happened with the "phone call" between Daz and Curious Labs on Poser5.Did they ever make Mike2/Vicky2 compatible with the face room, etc? Also, was the texture limit ever fixed in the face room, etc? What is the news?LAst I heard and received was the Patch on the CD mailed to me,and that was about a month or 2 ago.It still is buggy.Any news? Thanks.

I don't know much, but I do know the latest and greatest SR version available at Curious Labs is 2.1...

Groan<<< anything but Prince Albert in a can... The infamous phone call helped to lead to CL changing the Eula to make it clearer and more acceptable to 3rd party providers. Cl has also abandoned the crappy registration process as part of the latest 2.1 patch, making P5 much more stable. Both very good things. Daz has yet to release anything P5 specific. No Daz figure is face room ready, and it doesn't look like any will be. Daz is working on their new Daz Studio and Mike 3. CL, well, I don't know what their working on right now. I think a lot of their people are taking a well earned Christmas break. I hope they start monitoring the Beta forum again, since there seems to be a lot of new posts there.

Well, DAZ have now announced they'll be supporting poser 5, so somebody musta said something to somebody, but who said what to whom, I do not know. since whoever said whatever they said to whomsoever they said it to, didn't mention to the community at large that that something had been said to somebody. mac

All jokes aside,So what is the deal?If Daz and CL worked out thier differences, then why are Mike2 and Vicky2 STILL not COMPATIBLE with the face room? And was the texture resolution issue worked out?The last Update I used was the CD Curious Labs send me a while ago.Is ther ea newer one? Thanks again.

Check what version you have on your CD, then go to Curious Lab's web site and see if it is older, or the same version as the 2.1 that's now available. Once more, the link is provided above.

My CD says Version 2C....Is that the same as 2.1?

I'm not sure. You may wish to either contact CL's tech support for confirmation, or just install the patch from the site and play with it. Either way, have fun! :)

"If Daz and CL worked out thier differences, then why are Mike2 and Vicky2 STILL not COMPATIBLE with the face room?" I doubt anyone will go back and reconfigure the older models. I'm not sure if V3 is compatible because she was developed while the issue was still unresolved. I haven't seen anyone mention Face Room compatibility regarding V3 yet (neither that it works or doesn't). I don't know about the Texture size limit - I've only been keeping real loose touch with the P5 issues since it's a PC app and I'm on a Mac. I did read definative word that they (Daz/CL) have resolved their issues. P5 content will come out.

Before they made me they broke the mold!

2c is not 2.1. Email me at service@curiouslabs.com and I will get you a new CD out on Monday when I am in the office. :) tori
