THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: importing objects for boolean use

I have been trying to import an arch to be used as a negative to subtract from walls to have an archway. I realise this can be done in bryce, but I want to do this to keep all the clutter down. However the obj I import does not subtract. Is there some step I am missing

well, I think you can boolean objects you've imported, but I'm not at all sure you can boolean with objects

Don't forget to click the E button and check "solid when boolean" or something to that effect. It might help, though I'm not definite. Also don't forget to set the wall positive (sometimes we forget the little things...) =) Rosh

That's true, I forgot that solid when positive. I think that's what lets you boolean imported objects, it might let you boolean with imported objects as well.
