Subject: Rendercow question.

Has anybody ran into a file size limit while running vue with rendercow. I have been trying to use rendercow and vue keeps crashing. This is only on one file which is fairly large. Vue and Cow works just fine on smaller files. Any suggestions or comments?

Not RenderCow is a problem, but maybe the power of your 2 computers. But, as RenderCow only renders 1 image at once, it should not be a real problem, even with a PII-300 (my case)

Right now I'm linking 3 P3's with at least 1gh per machine. I'm hopeing to link at least 2 other machines later, but I wanted to work out the bugs on the first ones. It might be because I'm running win95 and the others are win2000. The cow did work on an animation that wasn't as complicated.

First of all: Have you updated your Vue copy to 4.11? If not, go to e-on's site and get the FULL UPDATE. I remember there were some trouble with Vue 4.1. This has been repaired with the new update4.11. Normally it should work between 95 and 2000 without problem. I do it from my AMD 1Giga to a PII-300, both with Win 98. The Vue 4.11 update works fine for most of us Only few users have problems. Some features only works with 4.11. You should absolutely give it a try. Before you do so, create a new folder somewhere of your HD. Copy from the Vue folder the following to the new folder: 1. ALL the files from Vue's root 2. the PLANTS folder (anyhow you always should have a copy of this one somewhere!) 3. the MODULES folder Then you can install without any risk the full 4.11 update. If ever you have a problem, just delete the new root files, put back the saved files and folders and every thing will be like before again. Guitta

I had the latest updates installed. Thanks for your help guys, but I'm starting to believe that the file is somehow corrupted. Other animations work out fine. I'll just have to see if I can rework the scene.
