Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 14 4:48 pm)
Photoshop is one of the standard 2D packages which has a lot of features for creating and/or enhancing textures. I've used Photoshop for years and I wouldn't be without it. There's also Deep Paint, which allows you to "paint" directly on to your models in a 3D environment. I haven't used it, so I can't comment.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
For making clothes you'd need a modeling app. Amapi 4.2 something is free and can be very useful. There are lots of other modeling applications at various prices. To make morphs u'd want a 3rd party 3d application that supports OBJ format well. Mimic for talking poser people in animations. Various clothing packs, models, texture packs from Renderosity or any of the many other merchants can make Poser go a LONG way. UVMapper Pro, though the freebie version does a good job. I guess it all depends on if you plan on making animations, video editing software could help. Making clothes is another area, textures another. You didn't specify your needs, so it's hard to recommend something really specific, but I've given ya some ideas. Good luck.
Real good ideas, thx. As for my needs, well I work with a small amount of animation but I think I got all I need on that. I do some fantacy art like elfs and jedi. I would however like to find out if there is and easyer way to make an animation where the ppl don't move through other things that are solid. But I doubt there is anything for that.
About the only way to prevent that, other than painstakingly-fine manual adjustments when setting up the animation, is to have some form of collision detection. Poser 5 has collision detection, although it's still somewhat unreliable. And ockham is working on a Python scripting solution that should function in Pro Pack and P5.

I was thinking about going crazy and getting some software to help with poser 4 pro. I just don't know what all is out there. What would you recomend? What is the best and easyest to use software out there. Any type of thing includeing the utilitys would be great. I plan to get every thing poser has to offer. So plz just tell me about every thing you know of that can go along with poser. P.S. I would espectialy like some things to deal with texture.
