I wanted to release this as a completely uv mapped model with decent maps to paint on, but because I have lots of things happening right now I am letting it go only partially mapped. I am including Incarnadine's excellent set of Bryce texture presets though. Don't worry he has given his permission for me to do so. ( Way back when we first discussed putting this out as a freebie.) I am sorry it has taken me so long to give it to you. If you want this you have to message me with your email address so I can send it to you. Your email must be able to handle a 6 meg zipped attachment.

Thank you and you're welcome. People requesting this model please be patient. It takes my dialup connection 50 minutes to upload this model.

I remember you talking about this ages ago when I first joined 'osity and I thought then that this was a supreme offer. You have a magic touch with the modelling GG and I would love to have this model, it is beautiful. Catlin BTW, do you use Rhino?

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Mon, 30 December 2002 at 2:45 AM

Thank you Catlin and yes I do use Rhino and I love it.

Very Intricate and impressive model GROINGRINDER, and I think it's great that you're offering to share this beauty with we fellow forumites! I have an old picture of Stanley Harbor on Hong Kong island that I'd like to model, and this model would give me a big "leg up" on capturing the feel and atmosphere of the place. Thanks!

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Mon, 30 December 2002 at 11:21 AM

Thanks everybody. The response is overwhelming. Everyone who left their email either in this thread or in an instant message will get the model. Be patient it takes me 50 minutes to upload each time I mail it out. Remember your email must accept 6 meg attachments. I have had two emails returned so far because they would not handle the large attachment. Anyone else who wants this leave your email addy here or instant message me.

Is there no way you could get someone to host it for you, then all it would take is giving folk the link and they can D/L thrmselves. I think it would make life easier for you, it's a shame that making the model is not the end of your work. All the best Catlin

Really cool model and very nice of you to offer it! If you are able, I would also love to have the model. But only when it is convenient for you to do so. I'll send you an IM just in case, and again, thanks so much! Arry
