Thanks Martin. This is a vast improvement to hacking the rsr files in a hex editor to fix them. Happy New Year to all! :-) Suffix, Prefix, GeoffIX

Hello, as you may know/remember, there was a serious problem with .rsr thumbnails by the Japanese BATlab site which caused serious crashes on Mac. Since I originally failed to get any response by the site owners about the nature of their files (and the bug happened to be quite dangerous) there was no other choice of protection but to delete the files in the previous version of Maconverter. However, GeoffIX has recently detected the actual source of the bug and provided a workaround, so I'm happy to announce that Maconverter 1.1.7 will now repair the files in question and convert the BATlab thumbnail pictures. The repair is included with the "Fix damaged PC thumbnails" option, which also repairs invalid thumbs created by P3dO versions prior to 1.5.2. Please keep in mind that Maconverter 1.1.6 actually deleted the data, so if you want to get the thumbnails you will need to dig out the original downloads and re-convert them. The updated tool is available in FreeStuff > Utilities or directly from my website: Cheers & and a Happy New Year, MartinC
