Subject: Alternate Conformer Pose For Victoria 3

In my endless quest to get my Victoria 2 clothes onto Victoria 3, and through much trial and error, I found that only a few things have to be changed to get them to fit right. - the endpoint, origin and orientation of the relative bodypart. - the centers and angles of the channels. So, Inspired by Fyrespiryt's conforming pose file, I whipped up one using Mat Pose Edit and Cr2Editor that only applies these settings. Ok, you may be wondering what difference this makes... So far, I haven't had to go into the Joint Editor and rescale any of the inner or outer spheres or do any tweaking at all. Also, there seemed to be a problem with some skirts and pants figures when using the other pose file. Unfortunately, this isn't the "silver bullet" of getting V2 clothes onto V3. Non-standard body parts may have to be tweaked as usual. You'll also have to scale/magnet/tailor many of the clothes to fit as presented in previous threads. Here's a shot of the DAZ Morphing Trenchcoat on V3 with the conformer applied. Oh and luckily it does fit "out of the box" :)

And here's Specs Gothic Armor with the conformer. Still needs some tailor help.. I know. :) I will post a link soon. Thanks to FyreSpiryt, Schlabber, Brycetech, OpticalSingloid (sp), Lord Nakagawa and everyone else for all their ideas so far.

The shoulder, elbow and neck need some more attention. But overall I am very impressed :o) Mazak

Thanks so much. What a great gift.

This is a good idea, Neth. I based mine on the poses I use when creating new clothes using the PHI method, which need fall-off zones, etc. set. Clothes you're converting wouldn't need that stuff set; it's already set up to deform the unique clothing shape. Great work, and thanks!

You're welcome all! Whew, this thread got buried FAST!!! I'm redoing my personal website so I'll think I'll archive some of the V3 tips and tricks there, with poster's permission of course. Perhaps there needs to be a one-stop V3 shop somewhere :) Yeah Mazak, the push-through-the-clothes is likely the result of the JCMs present in Vicky 3. I haven't looked completely closely at that. I know it is on the elbows for sure. FyreSpiryt, I think your fix may be more accurate for skin-tight clothing. Much of this will be trial and error. I had made one pose file that just changed the centers. That seemed to work well for cr2 hair. Haven't tried the new one with hair or boots yet. Unfortunately, I never got the magnets to work completely successfully. -Especially in the shoulders. OTOH, I did save them by body section, so working up a bra or waist fit can be a snap. I'll play with that more and make it available for DL.

Another problem we have in converting is the fact V2 has an upper neck and V3 does not. so any piece of clothing with an upperneck goes haywire when conformed to V3 ther is a fix but you have to hack the CR2. You basicallly have to change actor upperneck to actor head I did this for the V3 catsuit in the mannikin download. If you do not understand my hacked enlish explanation open up the v3 catsuit cr2.
