THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: !!January Challenge Topic Inside!!

I give up... I've fretted about this for almost a month now... early on I toyed with a sci-fi theme, but draculaz' impromptu challenge changed my mind on that one. Then I thought...'what about a photo-real challenge' since several are playing with HDRI/GI techniques, then I saw pidjy's latest effort and I thought 'maybe later' ;) So, here goes. "A New Beginning" Theme/title of the image should be "A New Beginning" (or "New Beginnings"). Images should reflect this theme, though subject matter will be left to each artist's discretion. I was going to limit imports of objects and images, and have people rely on Bryce's inherent abilities... then it occured to me that, although Bryce does contain some powerful tools, the abilities to import objects and images (in the terrain editor and for texturing) are also inherent to the program. Therefore the only limitation will be NO POSTWORK. Pure Bryce render's only (signatures and jpeg compression will be the only postwork allowed). I thank everyone who gave suggestions earlier. Questions/comments are welcome. Happy New Renders!

BTW... drac and pidjy, excellent work from the two of you (and the others who participated in drac's challenge). I hope I didn't give the impression that I was upset - it was all just amazing coincidence.

A new year and new beginnings! Good theme!

Hmmm, My favorite way to render, Tempest. I'm a pure Brycer, whenever possible. Check out my latest: "Reference Lab". Its all bryce and 42 lattices. I except your challenge, my friend.

Great challenge it reminds me the last track of "the songs of distant earth" of Mike Oldfield (a new beginning is the name of the track), so I'll get inspired by that... Pure bryce render is great! that's a real challenge!!! good luck to everyone

No postwork... I'll miss my usual contrast/color/brightness tweaks :) Great theme. I think I'll do a big-bang image or something like that.

Sounds good, get my thinking cap on, hang on better go search for it first.
