Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
I have a good friend who speaks Portuguese (Brazilian version, though). Gimme a few and I'll ask if she can help.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
Ok, I asked her and sent the link across. That's all I can say, so it's up to her now.

Brazilian's better than nothing, anyway I intend to make a Brazilian translation one day - I've been asked many times to do so. I just realized I fogot to put my (e-mail). There you can drop me a line. SamTherapy I sent a mail, but you'll need to contact me to have the entire translation the mail box is limited to 2000 characters here. Thank a lot for your help and thank in advance to your friend too. Damn this forum is a real godness ;)

You're welcome! I believe the lady is scanning the thread now, so she will contact you direct.

Okay, I'll eagerly wait for a mail from her. It is a generous idea, I hope your friend will find this funny enough. I have only got one regular translater, MacLean for the Italian translation - and me for the French one. For other languages I have to find new people each time and in the end there's always somebody kind enough to help.

Hi vince, I know people here like P3dO with or without translations but I realized that many people prefer an application in there native language. Ilona didn't reply yet if she does the job or not and I think there's enough for two. One can update the portuguese P3dO and the other begin the Brazilian one. I'm french and I don't know if the differences between Brazilian and Portuguese are real. In french there are no such differences - except that the french Canadian windows is more french than the french one ;) So, GraphicNovel you're more than welcome here. Send me a little mail at yarp@senosoft.com and we will see what we can do. Are you Brazilian too ? ps Je tiens a preciser, j'adore le Quebec et les Quebecquois. C'est vrai que Windows en Canadien m'a beaucoup surpris. I love Quebec and Quebec people. I was just quite surprised the first time I saw a french Canadian Windows. Why not a french Canadian translation for P3dO. Who volunteers ?

Sorry yarp. I know a few words and phrases [brazilian portugese], but not enough to be useful for translation. ;[ Looks like you got some volunteers though?

Yep, Ilona already sent me the translated file - in Brazilian ;) I really needed that translation for a Brazilian site featuring P3dO. There are always people wishing to help when I ask here, that's the power of this community. Thank you anyway, at least can you try the Portuguese P3dO to improve yours ;)

I'd have better luck with Border Tex-Mex. It's been 20 years since I've even been around spoken Portugese. ;]

A Mexican speaking P3dO is also in project ;) I don't really know if it worth doing it. I asked Ilona for the differences between Portuguese and Brazilian and as I understood it's about the same with French and Canadian French. We understand each other perfectly except that Windows is not translated the same - A french Windows is more english than a Canadian French one. People would prefer a 3D viewer than spending too much time on those but with the new translation system it costs me nearly nothing to add new languages - that's the trick.

Sounds like you've got a neat project going there. Adding versions in other languages is a nice touch for your non native english speaking customers. I don't know if you've done one already, but you shouldn't have too much problem finding help on a Japanese version. There's a number of poser members who speak both Japanese and English, IIRC.

Yep, it's a great concern to me but unfortunately Japanese requires some more job because Japanese uses Unicode fonts and P3dO uses Ansi ones. Unicode is the XP based system where 2 characters are used to figure out one, and Ansi is the latin one : 1 character states for 1. Technically I've to dig more deeper to achieve this I don't forget Japan. I would love to see P3dO in Japanese, one day for sure. I've already been sent a screenshot of P3dO from a Chinese user (Hong-Kong) and that gave me the idea to translate. But then you have to work ;(

Happy new year everybody, Let's go back to work now ;) I'm looking for a Portuguese translater for P3dO 1.6. We're done with the other languages but I can't find any volunteer for Portuguese. So I decided to ask here altough it is not really a Poser related request. Portuguese is already 3/4 translated the job is just 1 or 2 hours work. Thank in advance. I'll upload P3dO 1.6 here in about 10 days time to finish this and to review the Spanish translation too but 1.6 is already available at Seno ;) The translation system that comes with 1.6 is brand new and contrarily to previous versions will still work if you use it with another release. Of course this is nothing compared to Poser stuff but much better for people who are not cumfortable with english. YarpYarp - author of P3DO Organizer for Poser
