Now that is a great little model. That's what I really like about your stuff...you offer such a great range. Good job!

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 8:25 AM

P.S. I don't suppose you have a flier's outfit to go with the little plane? Greedy, I am.

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 8:29 AM

Sure will be thats why i made it Dialyn :o)...let me explain, i've thought for a long time the best/sexiest looking uniform ever was the RFC from WW1, so if you've ever seen Black Adder goes forth i'll be making captain flashearts uniform, and hopefully a flying jacket too :o)....Steve

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 8:32 AM

Oh, that is great. I know exactly what you are talking about. That really gives me something to look forward to! Thank you. :)

Mazak ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 8:48 AM

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 8:48 AM

Ah well there was the catch :o)....i couldn't find a good image of the right Mgun, so seeing this was based on a bristol scout which started off unarmed i thought i could add the gun later (as they did in the war) when i find what it looks like ;o).....Steve

cherokee69 ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 9:07 AM

Steve, Very good looking Bristol you got there. I'll definately be getting that. By the way, do you have that building in the background available?....please. Cherokee

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 9:16 AM

its just a photo i have put it up here http://www.s.w.s.btinternet.co.uk/cb.JPG give me a few minutes though and i'll make a canoma scene ;o)......Steve

cherokee69 ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 9:26 AM

Thanks Steve, What would really be cool is if there was a texture or transmap to make the wheels and prop look like they were spinning...sort of like they would be if the airplane was in flight.

Yeh but i failed miserably at making it LOL, i'll see if Vikki can do one....Zips are up, one of just the building and one of the scene..as you can see here there a bit iffy, but a bit of post work and they might be ok...import with ALL boxes unchecked and don't move the camera to much ;o)...Nu-be i read that somwhere what was going on then, who was fighting who?....Steve

Marque ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 9:39 AM

This is great! Now, how bout some goggles and a scarf and jacket and pants and boots and, and, and, whatever else you think would go with it for Miss Vickie 3!! lol Nice model! Marque

zechs ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 10:17 AM

Steve that looks great. at the very least might use it as a model airplane. :) Please don't abandon Mike and Vickie 2 too soon. Not all of us have gotten V3 yet. :)

chohole ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 10:30 AM

I am having a private bet with myself as to who is going to be the first person to put mousie or toonkitty in this plane

Good idea Zechs, something for the kids to break LOL...i won't but i reccomend you get her shes worlds above V2....BTW Cherokee has me on a roll LOL, heres a Vicky3 render, if you want the scene follow the link...import with all boxes unchecked again......Will do Marque, been wanting to do the flying jacket for all for some time :o)...Steve

hauksdottir ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 10:46 AM

Pam, tch-tch! He said DOG fighting. Do you think a cat is going into the air to join a DOG fight? They'll stop shooting at each other and chase him instead. Not good. Not good at all. Kitty's too smart for that. The Mousie already has wings, though.... I know! pop-guns and bubble-blowers!!! :) Sorry, Steve, but it really looks better, and will be far more useful, without armaments. Thanks muchly!!! Carolly

I never used it, but remember reading it. If I turn it up, I'll post the link. -Nancy.

Steve , Great plane . The propeller spin is pretty easy to do for this model. What you do is set up your pose then save the render as a png but hide the proppeller first. Then go back and hide everything but the propeller . Take 4 - 6 renders of the propeller alone turning the propeller dial . Then put them all in layers, line them up on top of each other , flattin them into one layer and do a motion blur on them till you get the right effect . I need to play with it more but u get the idea.

steveshanks ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 12:21 PM

Awesome o).....any chance you can do a render of just the prop then i can stick it on a plane and have it as a prop to add on?........Steve PS anyone else making airplane noises looking at tasquah's render :o)

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 12:28 PM

sure let me put the mice away and i will make a few for you. Darn that is a mouse in there hehe What are they up to know i wonder ??

Mazak ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 12:30 PM

Here's a custom script that takes care of roll, pitch, yaw and turning the propeller. See the accompanying text for adjustment instructions.

Thank-you Steve. And a "Did You Know". When the first Mgun was used, Pilots were shooting their props off in mid air, thus the metal wrap on the prop. They would change the prop after every flight. Finally, someone dicovered how to sync the Mgun with the prop. Tashar 59

tasquah ( ) posted Sat, 04 January 2003 at 2:10 PM

By the way any one want to use this fine prop for Non humans a 50% scale decrease is just about perfect on all 3 parts . Though i like the wheels a bit bigger it gives more bounce during take offs and landings :)
