Subject: Pose file help - body scale doen't save

ceba ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 6:35 PM · edited Tue, 04 February 2025 at 10:49 AM

If morphed and dialed a charater using V3 and saved it as a pose file when I apply the pose to V3 all the dials work just fine but my character is not scaled to my desired 88%. So what am i missing

Poser doesn't save scale dials. To keep them you have to had edit them into your file using a word processor. Just the way Poser is.

Better to just save it then as a cr2

Thanks. But I'v done a body for someone and need to send a pose file. I don't believe i can send them the cr2 or obj. Where in the file would i make the changes. In the pose file I see a listing for figure, would the scale go there and what is the syntax

It is whatever sections the original scale dials you used are. In the pose list the dial name and value just like the others. Look at the cr2 for the scaling dial names.

there is a tutorial here at Rendo how to make a MOR pose file. you can do that with cr2-editor. it works fine with V3. hope that helps Chris

I have one with scaling for Stephanie over at Big-i in the original Treasure Chest. I was making tiny people. :-) I also use it to make clothes fit her, including Vicki's. You will have to sign up and go back a few months in your preferences. But you are welcome to get and open in a text file. I use a text edit rather than my MS Word, I find for me that it saves the format better. If you have any question feel free to write me and I will try to help you if you find you still need assistance after looking at above resources. :-)
