Here is a good review of your camera and a probley better than what came with it. Save it to your hard drive for future reference. Out side of that its kind of simular to what i have but not close enough were it counts. Only real way to learn is to do it. Theres lots of good books to buy /read . It depends upon what kind of photography your interested in . Your camera has the 800 iso and mine doesnt so you can shoot in lower light thatn i can . You also get less blur than mine will. I looked at your camera before and liked it but my only thing is its to darn small for me .Attached Link: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2001_reviews/f707.html
Well first let me say you have a great camera there! The Sony F707/717 are the best digitals you can get without getting a digital SLR. I Have the 707 and I absolutely love it. The best way to get to know the camera is to use it, use it some more then go out and use it some more. Don't be affraid of the manual settings as they can provide some great effects. And the best thing I have found on the use of the camera is to go out with a small note pad and whenever possible write down the settings you use for each shot. And take a shot with variable settings. That way you can compare the results, kind of like apples to apples. The link above is where I learned alot about the 707 before I bought it. Great resource. its a great camera, even though i dont think sony's reproduce colors all that well... best suggestion i can make for u is read the manual, maybe twice... sounds stupid and basic, but you would b surprised how many people ask questions about their gear w/out cracking that thing openThis site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Hi!, as mentionned I am new in this. I just purchased a DSC f717 from sony. My od one was a 1.3Mpixel from fuji, so I think that I improved the quality. Now I am just starting playing with the manuel possibility. Anybody have comments on this camera, anybody have a good resource to learn how to use it ?
