How can you make things appear wet in Bryce (or Poser)?

I just throw water on the monitor::::: LOL Just kidding!!! don't do that! Add some reflexion and a hight specularity level to the object you want to look wet.

Yes, also give it a slight bump map and make it a little darker.

One can always copy an object and increase the scale a bit and add a water texture to the copy. Not always the best option, but sometimes it's an easy way...

I would use Photoshop or a similar program to postwork/draw it if it's not a closeup based on a photograph with similar lighting as my work. I really don't know how to attack that problem for closeups, I haven't seen too many successful closeup wetness even in higher end 3d software. =)

Darken the object (depending on the actual texture metals don't neccessarily darken when wet, and increase the reflectivity of the texture, and make the specular halo more intense.
