Oh, lovely creature....did you use a telephoto?....They are so timid as soon as they smell you they run away...

wow- a beautiful capture & perfect shot! (the only way to hunt these magnificent creatures- with a camera... I live in a densly deerpopulated area & they are almost considered pests & extreme road hazards that even deer hunting season has been extended to thin them out poor things)

tricksta, It was easy, I took out my camera, aimed, focused and shot! Actually there is a place near my home where the deer congrerate everyday just before dust. There are salt licks and hay bails there. This guy stayed in the woods all the time. This is one time the salt lick got the better of him and he started out. When he heard something or smelled me he stopped. When he did I took this shot. Taken witht he DSC-F707 exposure of 1/125 and F8. Magick Michael
