Subject: Ways to remove all realism

I was wondering how I might do a Matisse or Dali or Bosche using vue. First I made a magic mirror box and put a couple objects in it along with the camera. I left the ceiling open. You can also get some unusual panoramas this way. Another thing I tried is making a lens of bumpy cathedral glass. 2 spheres - boolean difference. I put this at various distances in front of an existing scene. You can change the colors of the glass but the yellow cathedral glass has some goods effects. Some render interestingly without any post work. Some cry out to be enhanced with a PS clone and/or smudge tool. Any way if you ever grow weary of a pretty mountain and tree picture, nightmares and wild dreams are also part of VUE venue.

Yellow catedral glass turned red in front of an alpha plane. (criper focus that way) followed by heavy use of clone tool to make an image from what was already there.

I can't say that I liked them all, but they were all very refreshing - unique departures from the standard gallery fair. I thought the crucifiction was extreamly good. They were all well worth looking at. Thanks for sharing your insights. jon

Vue never fails to surprise a beginner like me.

Hope you will continue to experiment things as you did. You were speaking of dali , in that case it could be easy to do painting like his work : take a few objects or animals (deformed for some of them), place them on a plane with some mountains from place to place, choose strange colors for the ground and the sky, place the objects, place some lights (one directional soften, no ambient ) it's finished ! Maybe it's not so easy probably, I saw some month ago the work of someone who did dali's artwork, on renderosity, I don't remember who. Hope you will inform us of some new great pics you will produce, ;=) Yves

Vue makes it easy to quickly describe things that I have seen For example in May 25 1975 immediately prior to a full lunar eclipse I was watching the moon from Rochester NY. It was just beginning to become a peach color when at the 10:30 area of the moon I saw an explosion spread out from behind the rim followed by a smaller secondary exlosion. Total duration before they both faded from view was about 5 seconds. This is how it looked slightly magnified and the other picture is how I imagine it looked from the other side of the moon. ![eclipse.jpg](http://www.angelfire.com/md2/customviolins/eclipse.jpg) I expect it was a small meteorite strike.

Your idea of using a filter in Vue is excellent. I would like to try it. Since the problem is to give the picture a touch of something like brush painting, pencil,... Pictures without filters are too clear and net to my opinion; see for example 'hyperborea' work; it's very good, but it's net and remains 3D work. ;=) Yves
