Regarding Cute:
You guys begged for ages for MilKid stuff and Toon stuff. So we went on a binge and filled the missing niche completely.

If this what we get for the MM Kids, then the "niche" is not filled completely.
HOW ABOUT A NEW CLOTHES PACK FOR THE KIDS******
(I was not yelling)
How about some Morph sox, Polo shirt, button shirt, tie, jacket, body suit,Winter clothes, Doc Martin Boots, Baseball uniform, Football uniform, Soccer uniform, SciFi uniforms, Historical clothes, farm boy clothes, speedOs/undies, Modern Today Clothes, ect, ect... See the Niche is still here ;)

God, guys please don't quote me. You're going to get me in huge trouble. I still want to be able to post casually without speaking complicated "Businessspeak". :) Just forget I used the word completely. Merrilyn did a "Frenz" packs. Did you see that? It is great quality and value. There are shoes, tops, pants, and hair. Most of the stuff you mestioned can be done with textures on existing items too. Maybe some transmaps as well. Anton

I loved the Frenz pak, Anton, snapped it up immediately. May I suggest a possible boy morph for some of the girl stuff-- at least flat chests. As you say, some of us will fill in with textures. Underroos or something like would be absolutely grand. And useable for both milgirls and milboys. Plus some bedware. I had a super idea for peeking at Santa but no frilly nightgown to make it work. I am really glad the kids have good looking toys now, though. Hard to hear when all we're saying is give-me-do-me-buy-me-lots, but it's cause we appreciate you that we're spoiled and greedy little piglets. I'm sure there are fewer sales for boys stuffage, which is why I mentioned boy add-ons to primarily girl packages. Less risk for you and we get something. Emily

I was not trying to get you in Hot water, this is just my weekly rant. I was hoping Dan Farr might read this. Daz makes great products, they just need to support the MM Boys, there is some things for the MM girls, but NOTHING for the Boys.
First they should not have been based on Vicky, but on Mike. If they would have been based on Mike, scaling Mike clothes to 85% and with some magnets worked fairly easy... but just try it on the MMboys, to much time and effort, when it could have been so easy.
I am not quoting you now Anton, but this is from DAZ:

  • DAZ decided to use the existing models, so that the Millennium Boys would be compatible with the Millennium Girls and their associated products. Many of these items are probably already in your Poser libraries, and by creating a new character that is compatible with your previous purchases we hoped to give you more use and value from your DAZ products.

*Gender-neutral clothing is common for children. We wanted to be able to develop clothing usable for both the Millennium Girls and the Millennium Boys, which will ultimately mean more savings and versatility for our customers.
*And finally, by using the same meshes for both the boys and girls, it allowed DAZ to keep production development costs to a minimum, which in turn allowed us to pass these savings on.

We realize that we could have developed the Millennium Boys differently, and that there would have been some advantages to doing so. However, this is the option we felt would be best for everyone involved.

So Far the MM Boy is the Biggest Flop at Daz. The Customers lose on this one.

Here is Mikey, waiting for Loris, He ask M n M to play, but he is not into Football, he is more into swimming, figure skating, and gymnastics (he gets that from Vicky)... but M n M boy thinks Mikey looks cute in the football uniform, and would really like to join them.

Vickys clothes, just scale to 85%, not much trouble. Good thing Vicky told him about his "Sword"....

Cool. I know Michael Lane had made Mil Girl Updates for his Grecian Gowns. That would work for a nightgown and a sweet Vicki thing too. free update is here: http://store.daz3d.com/catalog/product.php?pcode=ps_ac309b Overtime I am sure more things will appear. Just have to mix it in with the other releases. Obviously V3 clothing has us really occupied. Her clothes take a bit longer now because of the morphs we want to build into the clothes are more numerous. Hang in there, Anton PS: Really cool pics.

The "flop" part at the end wasn't part of the email right? They did really well.

I love the cutie stuff, and want more new items. There is already a lot of stuff out there for the kids or stuff (shoes, pants, dress, etc... ) or stuff that can be altered. What more specifically do you need? I want more original and useful stuff and can not wait for the goldfish and other items.

pigfish ( ) posted Tue, 14 January 2003 at 11:21 AM

I'm still waiting for frilly, girly dresses for the girls. I'd love for mine to be able to go to a tea party instead of out catching frogs.

jarm ( ) posted Tue, 14 January 2003 at 11:52 AM

I have to agree on this point, yes the Frenz pack is nice, but you don't see many 4.5 year olds wearing that sort of clothing and certainly not boys. What I am surprised about is that we still don't have long sleeve clothes for the boys or girls from Daz themselves, no coats etc. Why can't some of the sci-fi suits be converted to work with the kids, thus expanding their inclusion in those styles of scenes? I am sure there isn't much money in the kid models because of their niche, but would an expanded milkid clothing pack really be that hard? I don't consider a cartoon cat, dog and a teddy bear catering too much for these figures, they are nice as accessories, but equally niche. best wishes Jody

Just watching this thread with interest. Good discussion. I've nothing new to add except to say that I would love a simple scifi suit for the kids too. Wish rosity had a watch this thread button like PP.

MachineClaw ( ) posted Tue, 14 January 2003 at 3:45 PM

I'd love to see the Mil kids cheaper myself. I could use them and it would be fun to make stuff for them, but to get the boys and the girls and shell out $50 just isn't gunna happen any time soon for me. Maybe part of the reason not much is developed for them. I like cute, I also like useful clothing items that can be retextured to expand the usfulness. So many ideas, so little time.

Pigfish...there's the adorable 'little French maids' for the girls at DAZ. Frilly and sweet.
