This is a waterfall made from two terrains. I oriented the flow in the Z direction Applied the preset deep blue water texture created a 15 frame segment Went to the 15th frame and set the Z offset to 20bu Created a keyframe. Went back to the zero keyframe and set the offset to zero. (it had also changed to 20 because I had not set the initial keyframe) Created a Zero Keyframe. The resulting bitmap sequence was combined in jasc animation master to create the GIF you see. It had to be reduced to 63 colorsand small size to post.

I like it a lot, I experimented with waterfalls for a long time and never came up with anything like this... the only issue I see is that is looks a little... subdued at the bottom... like water rolling down a hill instead of falling... you might want to try playing around with a little mist and what not and see what you can come up with -Tempest-

I'm thinking a second terrain with the mist applied as a texture. Instead of or as well as animating the texture I'm going to try editing the terrain. I want blobs of mist to pop up below the falls at different places and times. Don't know if the blobs will remain stationary or move to the positions in the next keyframe. I want to set up all the elements of an animation and render. Will post a tutorial and an avi on my website when it's done.
