Subject: Would anyone be interested in an MT stripper app?

Since V3 came out the biggest problem with the figure is the enormous amounts of MTs if you apply all of them. (cr2 file size for me was like 127 megs). I was able to get down to 58 megs by just removing unused MTs from the head. What I was wondering is if people would be intersted in a quick app that would go through a figure and remove any MTs that are not set by either the MT itself or a full body MT? I'm still behind on Morph Manager 6 but this maybe something I can get out fairly quickly. MM6 is turning into a monster with all the new P5 enhancements, reading compressed files etc. Of course you'd have to put a small value into any MT that you want to keep around but I don't see that as a drawback since the expression injectors for V3 are all seperate anyway.

I don't have V3, but I still wouldn't, sorry. I can strip the MTs ouf of any file in my text editor in a few seconds flat. I use vim (www.vim.org).

I think it would be a great thing to have. While you can edit cr2 file in a text editor, it can to be a major project if you have a lot of files to fix. Yes, by all means - make my life easier.

Yep ... I thought that is what the dial stripper was for :) I wouldn't be able to use yours (on a Mac) but it is defiantely helpful

Yes that would be more that excellent.. :) Never knowing what my character will end up as I have the lot loaded. Saving the pz3 or cr2 is eating my harddrive up quickly. Helen

WOW ! Morphmanager 6 is being prepared ? Now, THAT's great news. I use MM4 (don't have the version 5) extensively and I find it great. If I may suggest 2 improvements : - make it Poser 5 compatible (with all the dial groups, other MT editors are useless) - allow the management of Body morphs. This would really make my day. Thank you anyway for your help to the Poser users. Compiler

compiler- That's the reason MM6 is taking longer. Yes, full body mts plus groups will be supported plus reading compressed files, merging cr2s etc. Just a huge grab bag of stuff. MM6 will also be drag and drop between multiple opened cr2/pz3 files plus it will perform ops on everything, not just mts like moving and deleting channels. I also want to get in some repair stuff like fix the multiple associated magnets bug that occurs with Volup Vicky and other figures.

Hooray ! It's Christmas time again ! I just hope you won't get the Poser5 syndrome : sometimes if you want to do everything possible, you end up with an instable product. My father used to say : "better is the ennemy of good". If only MM6 would do what you said in the first lines, it would be a must. Or may be I'm just saying this because I can't wait for it to become available... Thanks in advance Compiler

What's the ETA on MM6?

Yes please a MT stripper for V3 would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Suppose it depends on the editor you use. I can see that people limited to wordpad and notepad and such would find this really useful. vim allows scripting, batch processing, and all sorts of cool things once you learn how it works.
