For all of us where "National TV" is something outside the US of A, could you PLEASE tell us what's wrong, Sharen? :o) 8 inches? whew that's a load. We had about that last week, but it's all gone now. ~TrekkieGrrrl (Denmark)

Poor ladynimue is barried under a ton of snow, it was falling yesterday and all night, they showed on TV this morning (GMA)where she is, in the USA, snow, snow, snow....that is what we all are getting in the Upstate NY area, but her area was nailed really hard lastnight. Sharen

I Be Here :) Our little town of Oswego is under a State of Emergency and was actually closed most of yesterday until this morning. Not a big deal for us. Everyone has fireplaces, stocks up food; and thank goodness for computers, home-based busnesses, and cable TV ;] Thank you sOOOooo much for sending out the search dogs :) They had some very excellent Brandy flasks. {{was yummy with my morning coffee}}} How are You doing, this chilly morn?? ladynimue

ladynimue ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 8:07 AM

Oh for the record, we had three feet of snow fall yesterday, two feet in four hours :) Still coming down but just lightly, and the blue sky is trying to break through the fluffy clouds :) Anyone have some sun they would like to send up North??? Still waiting for those Southern sailing ship Poser Images :) ladynimue

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 8:57 AM

You see, when they mention the "S" word in Atlanta, the stores are flooded with people buying bread and milk. Lots of times, just the mere hint of snow causes a run like that. I can't imagine what would happen if it snowed 3 feet here !!!

SAMS3D ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 9:00 AM

LOL...we must be just so use to it, even though we didn't get as much as my neighbor leadynimue, our new 8" of snow that fell lastnight, is now on the side of the road by the plows....we really know how do handle it, made it to work with no problem.....what a shame....LOL...Sharen

quixote ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 9:18 AM

We were supposed to get it good too, but we only got a foot. Missed us. The first one to miss this winter. What a strange weather system? Hang in there ladynimue, and go easy on the brandy. Especially after the valium and chocolate. :) Q

Crescent ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 11:10 AM

It's going to hit 75 today, and that's not a record high. Yes, our winters are so terrible around here!

Hee! Hee! Hee!

Snow is a four letter word!

are you in Oswego or watertown, I am guessing oswego... I graduated from there it was only place I have ever been that had thunder and lightening snowstorms.....

Patricia ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 1:02 PM

Sunny and high in the low 60's today in Oakland, CA :) I've been considering just pulling the old leaves off of my roses, since it hasn't been cold enough for them to drop by themselves (and I'm too soft-hearted to prune anything that's still wide awake!).

SAMS3D ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 1:12 PM

LOL, I don't know when was the last time I saw something green, really it has been a while....the weather man said that tonight and tomorrow may set a record low....you know I feel like I am in Alaska or even the Artic, really hasn't been like this here in ages. Sharen

Don't winter in Dallas tonight. It's supposed to be 20 F. That's REALLY cold down here.

TygerCub ( ) posted Thu, 16 January 2003 at 3:53 PM

I'm waiting patiently for it to start here in Virginia. We had a winter warning at work, which is really something because work rarely shuts down for the weather. Last time we shut down was a couple of years ago, and they actually had us come into work first before sending us home three hours later. I remember looking at the 4 foot icecycles hanging off the scaffolding as I went up and thinking... I'm outta my everluvin mind to be here. Glad I have an office job now!

I am here in freezing Cleveland, OH and I must say...I'd rather have more snow than temps in the teens! This is copied from my local weather report for tomorrow: High: 17 Low: 7 And, of course, that is not taking wind chill into account. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! Diane
