Subject: V3 morph injection

All I would like to know is if I am the only one that has trouble loading the Victoria 3 morph injections. It took about 22 hours on my 1.8 Ghz P4 with 1Gb memory. I have not been able to find any other discussions on this.

Yeah, you have an issue. You might want to reinstall the files. If that doesn't work, is it feasible to redownload the V3 package? Also, did you get the SR-1 updates for Vicki. (The three files are found on the figure page, the head morphs page and the body morphs page.) It probably wouldn't help with the problem, but it's worth a shot.

My V3 stuff worked fine (after installing the V3 service releases). Then I installed Poser5 SR2.1. Now the inject all body morphs and the inject all head morphs don't work. Either that or they are extremly slow (i.e. I waited 7 hours). The individual morphs seem to inject okay. I still have Poser4 ProPack on my machine, so I installed all of my V3 stuff there, and it works fine. This confirms for me that it isn't a problem with my computer. So, this probably doesn't help you, but I would like to know if you are running P5 with SR2.1????? If more than one person has the same problem, we may get faster results. Thank you, Ericroy

In the end the reason my machine took 27 hour to inject the morphs, was the multiple runtime directorie I had under Poser 5. Reinstalling under the main Poser 5 diretory and disabling the others, reduced load time to 2 minutes.

It would seem that with multiple runtime directories the system spends most of its time looking for the files, like when jou are missing a texture file and it takes for ever to load the file. Now multiply by several hundred missing files and you get 22-27 hours of loading

Aw gee. DAZ confirms the problem I mentioned above(V3 not working right with the poser5 SR 2.1). They can duplicate it, and other people have been complaining about it. So far, they don't have a clue what is wrong. (I'm still waiting to hear from Curious Labs. Waiting and waiting and...).

Sick, so very sick...It took me about 2 minutes. XP2600+ 1GB RAM. It did stop responding though, but came back after a 10 second delay. A tip may be to save the CR2 under a different name so you don't have the issues again. You can always remove the morphs.
