This was meant to be a scene from "The Earth Children " series (Clan of the cave bear and all that). I found the B3 image on an old backup cd whilst looking for something else. Thought I would see if I could update, using things I have learned since. Even the figures are P3, shows it was a while back. Have only changed the sky and water so far. What do you think? is it any good, and how else should I change it? Its where they are up on the high steppes and find themselves faced with the conjunction of a couple of fast rivers to cross.

I like it... it's been a long time since I read 'em, color of the horses is right, but I thought that Jondalar's hair was supposed to be a slightly darker blonde than Ayla's (I'm sorry... very small nitpick on my part) Looks good. That series would lend itself to a multitude of brycean illustrations. Anybody know of any morphs to turn any of the horses available into a prehistoric Przywbzki's (whatever, lol, :P) horse?

Well there is "the ultimate horse" set of morphs, which could get you closer. forgot where I got them from but they are by Daio, who is the expert on horses. I did do several, this was one of the better ones, as was the glacier one I did. Sorry about the hair. Soon altered as they are bryce textures, I hadn't got into poser in those days, only to put figures in my pics.

I understand...I'm just getting out of that stage myself... and it was the only thing I could think of at time, and was more than half said in jest. I really like the image, though.

Been ages since I read those books, too. The sky looks fabulous. If the rivers are fast, shouldn't they be more foamy, or have stuff floating in them? Maybe you can use the waterfall tutorial to animate them. ;) I don't remember a dog/wolf from the books, but I think I only read the first three... Lin

Just want to say I think it's really a nice scene. Seems tranquil to me. I guess it's the colors, they're soothing to the eye. I particularly like the raging water.

Wow! this is so close to an experience I had a decade ago. I camped on a rocky and narrow stretch of land where the forest becomes the tundra. To the east the river was flowing north-north east; to the west, it flowed to the south- south west. A magical place. A Montagnais hunting party came to visit me. We had a feast and talked. They told me of Ti-Quebec, their trickster god. A bit of a pervert, really. I had a wonderful time. They camped with me that night. The next morning they told me to go down to the east river at a certain spot. A gift would be waiting for me on their lines. Best fish I ever had. I hope I see the new revised image of this Pam. It's so great and close to my experience. I even broke a foot going down that mountain over there... Jezz.
