Subject: Importing .Obj file into P5... can it be done?

Hi y'all, I've recently been fiddling around with making my own props but I've run into a strange dilemma. I can't figure out how to import the .obj into P5. T'was easy in P4, but P5... The "Import" function doesn't give that as an option. I've looked under other headers but to no avail. Any tips?

  1. Go to the file menu 2) Select Import 3) Select the type of object (3DS, Wavefront Object, etc) 4) Select the object you want to import 5) You're done. You can then save the object into the prop library.

Well, that's just the problem, P5 isn't giving me any options such as 3DS, OBJ, etc. The only options are shown here in the attatched image. Very frustrating. I've tried each one of those options but none of them have .obj as an acceptable file format.

That is definitly a problem. Contact CL on this one. My copy of P5 has the complete list.

Or if you still have P4 installed on your computer just use it to import your OBJ files .

or copy over a ppp2 with an external OBJ reference and point it at the new OBJ
