CR2Edit V6 looks like a very powerful program, with lots of great features. This looks like a program I'd need to sped some effort and time to learn. Unfortunately I remain confused after a visit of the CR2Edit home pages. The walktrough was quite confusing. Does anyone know of a good source of a clear-cut explanation of all the features? Is there someone who owns CR2Edit who can provide an in-depth, easy-to-understand review? This program looks great, but $90 is a sizeable amount to spend.

CR2Edit 6 looks like a powerful program full of so many utilities. I'd immediately use some of them and grow to use the others. The problem is that the author doesn't do a great job of just listing the features. The tour "rambles" on a bit, and fails to cover some things. CR2Edit is only for the PC. It looks like a wonderful program, but it might take awhile for me to use it to the fullest potential. And it's hard to ignore the $90 price tag. Especially when I need to visit the dentist today.

You know, I bought CR2Edit 5 and quickly found the graphical menu to be cryptic. Looks like they've done a good job cleaning it up and using good ole text buttons. I may pay the 25 bones for the upgrade package...but I'll wait and see what other users have to say. Right now, I've become pretty good at manually editing CR2 files (mostly using CR2 Editor 1.51...available in the Poser Stuff area). Between that, P-Wizard, and PBooost, I've got everything I need. What's up with the funky interface though? You know there's something to be said for a good old fashioned windows interface...less daunting to the new consumer.

I use CR2Edit V6. It is one of my mainstays. It saves me hours of time especially making Mat files. Dan, (the developer) is really great. You can ask him any questions and he will get right back to you. It is a great piece of software.

The only problem I found with Cr2Edit V6 was that it could not handle Poser 5 cr2's... Bwaah! Compiler

It is a GREAT program but like anything in 3D it's background is not easy. Some people visiting here just don't get it and wish they found an easy spot. WELL this is NOT it!

Compiler, as with all Poser utilities as far as I know, you need to decompress the CRZ first. Not all tools have been tested with P5 CR2's, but all that have been have worked. If you decompressed and still had a failure, please write me at info@zenwareonline.com and let me know what tool it was. (I rarely have time to make it up here). ANY time something doesn't work, contact me -- here is a quote from the blurb that goes out with all copies: "PLEASE report things that don't work right, it may be a "bad" file, or it may be a bug. If you have suggestions for new tools or additions to existing ones, feel free to send them along -- this is YOUR program. Its genesis back in the days of Poser3 was for the purpose of making modifying Poser files fast and easy, and I have always depended on my users to help make it better. Your input matters, you should never assume that someone else may have already told me something." regards, Dan http://www.zenwareonline.com for CR2Edit6, ZenPaint, ZenTile, VueMaster and the complete line of Zenware graphics apps

So how about a good, clear description of the features involved in CR2Edit6?! I just couldn't get the proper message by visiting the site. Call me a dummy, but I am interested.

Hmm, the author of the program stops in, and doesn't answer my question. Two days later, still no answer. I guess I just saved myself $90.
