and why was my last post deleted?

SeanE ( ) posted Tue, 21 January 2003 at 9:53 AM

because of the title and the link contained within??? but that's just me taking a wild guess here.

boulder ( ) posted Tue, 21 January 2003 at 10:05 AM

It's probably a very good wild guess but the link was to a Renderosity MP page which is still there.

retrocity is one of the moderators here. Your post was inflamatory and inaccurate - so he deleted it. Yes, the product in question in the Marketplace is an anatomically correct male teenager, but it was not marketed in a sexual manner and there are legitimate, legal uses for it being anatomically correct, such as medical illustrations. The mesh can be clothed for everyday scenes and can be used as a basis for smaller male adults. It allows someone who has Mike to have a male teenager, instead of purchasing the milkids package and tweaking the mid-schooler to look older.

Hi boulder, To answer your first question, retrocity is one of us mods. As to why, well just re-read the title. Something like "Concern about MP item" would have gotten a much better response dont you think? The title you used was, umm, very provocative at the least, downright offensive to some and it implied that if you use the item you are some kind of pervert. Kevin.

Sorry Crescent, xpost.

Boulder--why pick on a single vendor or product? If you're going to engage in a bogus, hysterical kiddie-porn crusade, why not search on "teen" or "pre-teen" in the marketplace and shit your drawers over the whole lot? They're legal products HOWEVER you use them (at least in the U.S.), and within certain common-sense perameters, their use falls entirely within R'osity's TOS. Kudos to the mods; the post was stupid and offensive.

What was inaccurate about my previous message and since when do you delete threads for being inaccurate? kb I didn't imply anything that is a subjective view Mosca no point in replying to your creative comments

Mosca, one problem with your viewpoint is that you might be able to show it's legal according a recent decision by the Supreme Court, that doesn't prevent local law enforcement authorities from going after anyone who has questionable items on their computers. A guy can stand there at 5 a.m. shouting about his rights, but that won't stop the lawful execution of a search warrant and seizure of all his computers and computer-related equipment/articles.

So it's better to err on the side of caution and avoid even the appearance of pedophile activity, than to risk action by over-zealous law enforcement personnel who sincerely believe that playing with a nude 3D model of a 10-yr-old girl (or boy) is probable cause for executing a search-and-seizure in an investigation of a person suspected of illegal pedophile activities.

Boulder, I haven't had the luck of seeing your original message. Must have been "fun". I have to say that I have no words for how mean and vile is what you have done. Just to have a wretched revenge against me because I said something on a forum thread that you didn't like. How small, how mean, how vile, how... I have no word to describe further my disgust. Orio

Actually I think there could be the extremes here for the Moderators/Administrators to take measures against personal persecution. That of Boulder is clearly a hard and heavy personal attack against me. Lead in the meanest of ways.
