ok but how? excuse me i m not a poser 5.0 user yet...

not sure how, since I can't run poser 5 on my system, it's to top end hardware specific for it. but I know it can be done. ( now if programmers could just learn to program for the oldest, slowest computer they can get thier hands on it would be a huge improvement in program quality )

Using your Poser 4 library in Poser 5 is simple... literally as easy as adding an item to an existing library in Poser 4... Actually, it's almost the same process, you just have to be at the top level of the libraries and it asks you to find the runtime folder you want to add instead of naming anything...

Im not at my home computer so don't have P5 in front of me but I think I can walk you through it. In your P5 library at the top of every page is an up folder. click on that till you get to the one that shows both the p5 and the download library at the bottom of that page is an add button, click on that and navigate to your P4 runtime select that hit OK and your p4 library has been added. that simple.

It is really easy. I have my 25 gig P4 library on the D drive linked to P5 on Drive C. Once you get P5 we can get you a screen shot of exactly where to add the catagory. It is worth buying P5 just to be able to sub directory and link your libraary.

When I installed P5, it "saw" the Poser 4 w/Pro Pack runtime library I believe automatcially and it will just appear as a folder to select in the libraries pallate. If it doesn't work that way for you, the P5 manual does a good job in explaining how to run multiple runtime libraries.

You just keep clicking up in the libraries column until you reach a folder with an arrow on it-- double click and wait a bit if it's the first time-- poser is looking for the others. It will show you Poser 5, downloads, and Poser 4-- maybe more if you have more on other disks, both of mine are on C. You click on Poser 4 and you have option to everything there. You need something in Poser 5 again?? do the same thing only this time click on Poser 5. It's very easy. Emily
