Not terribly long ago, there was a DAZ freebie that was a "Vicki Prisoner" set if I remember correctly. Had a platform and central pole, and shackles for arms/legs connected with a screwed plate to attach to a wall or such. I believe it was around the time the Millenium Dragon was announced, since I remember the preview picture on their freebie page.

Now before everyone yells, "redistribution policy", I'm not asking for anyone to send it to me. While I am frustrated that there's no way for me to get it back after my HD crash a few months ago, I was able to get all my paid-for DAZ products from my purchase history so I'm not going to start complaining. My question is, would anyone be able to tell me what the filename for that particular freebie was? I'm pretty sure its not among the files I salvaged, but since I cannot remember what the name was I'm unable to search for it without going through tons of things individually.

Also, if anyone knows of a similar freebie out there I'd greatly appreciate if you could point me in that direction. I've seen Peemot's set in the Marketplace for $6, which I can probably afford if all else fails. Please excuse the "my HD crashed and I lost everything" sob story, I'm just in a bind without some useful files I previously had access to.

I need the shackles for a dungeon scene, so don't get any strange ideas. :)

I think it was called Alter or Altar. I know there was some spelling error someplace in there. There are some shackles or a sort over at RuntimeDNA in the freestuff. Hope that helps and good luck.

Molly, if it ends up that you can't find them, Traveler put some fully pose-able collars, shackles and cuffs in the DNA free section. I believe they're on page 17 or 18. HTH, ~j~

DAZ has been excellent in dealing with issues for me. I would give them a call or even an email and ask them about the possibility of making the file available for you again. It never hurts to ask.

Thanks all for the help, the RDNA freebies look like they'll do the trick. I thought about contacting DAZ, but they do specifically say in their redistribution FAQ that they cannot provide past freebies, and I respect their business reasons for that, though I don't believe that particular freebie went into any commercial packages. Still tempting, but I know they're already swamped with the important issues. I'll manage. :)

IIRC, my filename said "alter.sit". After we snickered and joked about the mispelling and what could really be happening to any poor mesh bound to a cruel fate... DAZ corrected it to altar. At that time there was only the Mike/Stephanie cross-gendering. Now that the male textures, morphs, hair, and negitals have been added to V3 the "alteration process" can be complete. (Mwua-ah-hah!) Traveler gave us a "wizard's alter" table with bunch of props, many of which could be used in this transformation. This would be a fun animation, but would almost certainly slip over the boundary into torture. In Riddle Master of Hed, there are 99 curses for turning a man into a boar, the more horrific for not being immediate. Vicky 3 with her perky breasts, made-up face, and manicured nails, obviously enjoys being physically feminine. Evil wizard, "Relax, my beauty, by dawn you will be a man". Pretty victim, "Oh, no! Anything but THAT!" And dawn's first light reveals a pot-bellied guy needing a shave and a comb... for his chest hair. I wonder why they won't make past freebies available? That's too bad. So much cool stuff they could put in their freebies archive (which hasn't changed much in recent months.) I was thinking about writing to them to ask for the cupcake prop that I missed out on, but if that's against policy, no go. Oh well, I'll bake my own. :-)
