Good point, actually. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I wonder if we could please have at least some description of what the items are? Otherwise, the freebies and announcements are much appreciated.

No doubt, they ARE appreciated! But they'd be "appreciated with ice cream on top" if they had a discription....:>)

GalleryWizard (not lite) is in the marketplace. I can only assume they're related.

Yeah, I have downloaded it and the Readme still does not say what it actually is!

It's a program to set up a gallery - you point it to your image folder and the folder where it should put your gallery. specify the size of the images, the thumbnail options and it will generate HTML pages for you. I can do that with Dreamweaver or PhotoImpact too.

Read the description at the following link. (It's almost the same). >I can do that with Dreamweaver or PhotoImpact too. That's good. Those programs are slightly more expensive than free though. So, people who don't have those programs might want to try the free download. If you don't want to download it or install it, you are also free to do that. I love it when people complain about free stuff. It definately makes the time and effort worthwhile. Enjoy. -Mark

I did not complain, I installed it and saw that it was similar to what I already have, that's all. If someone does not have a program to generate Gallery pages then it's usefull.

maybe as a suggestion, when sending out the newsletter, also describe a little about the freebie. It would help cos I'm sure many would be cautious especially when it comes to clicking on exe files. Thanks.

I agree. I am always grateful for freebies - and appreciate that someone has put in a lot of hard work to make them. However, I am cautious about installing things if I don't know what they are.

Yes, that would be great. I really appreciate the time and effort that some people put in some items, and then shre them with us all. In the case of this month's freebie, I'd have appreciated being warned that it was an .exe file, for security's sake, but that's not a great problem. What I would be interested to know now is the difference between this lite edition and the full edition in the marketplace, in case this freebie makes me consider buying the full version. Thanks to all people who share their productions with us and do not keep their precioussss for them to make "one of a kind" items as this was said in another thread, not long ago. Compiler

thanks for much for the freebie!! greatly appreciated.

Charlie_Tuna ( ) posted Thu, 23 January 2003 at 6:33 PM

This is the first freebie that has burned us mac users since it is totally useless to us since it's built for PC users only :-(

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Markdc, There are people who will use and appreciate your file. They may not be as vocal, but they are still there. Carolly
