Subject: Copy protect of CD

As for the copy protect of the Mimc CD I believe that its LIPSinc call. But I believe that they should be up front in their advertisement informing buyers that they would be buying a copy protected CD that must be present in your CD drive for the program to run. If this information was provided to me before receiving Mimc, I would not have purchased this software. Now its too much trouble to send it back.

Annoying as it is, that feature is probably keeping the cost down. Think of how high the price would be if for every 1 copy sold there were 4 or 5 pirated CD's out there. Their policy may stink, but how many CD's have broken on you? They also sell CD repair kits that work pretty well incase it really does get scratched and you costs about $30 or so and will fix hundreds of CD's. So if the issue is only about their method of copy protection, then I agree and there are better ways. My real question is, how does the software run? Does it give you a good lip syncing?

You have the option of using text or not to create the mouth motions. I actually find that it works better sometimes if you don't give it the text to lipsynch, assuming you have a good clear sound file. All in all it's a pretty good program. regrading CD repair - I admit that If I got desperate I'd buy the Kit, but I shouldn't have to. I agree that LipInc has the right to protect their software anyway they want so long as we are covered for a damaged CD.
