Subject: P4 lighting in P5 problems

I may have missed a work-around or fix, but why do many of the P4 light sets cause render problems in P5??? The problem I see is infinite(lock) texture loading box. Is there a workaround for this?

I've never had that happen... I use old P4 light sets all the time in P5, from the "Render Upgrade" in freestuff to sets I made a while back.

I get it quite often, so basically quit using p4 light sets and just do my own.

i have the same problem many times .I must reset each time. Now i don't trust any light set i download or buy(too frustate when it freeze).I hope Curious Labs will fix this bug

I had this same problem and got excellent answers on this thread. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1057911... I downloaded the delete all lights python script in free stuff which has been updated for P5. It works just great. Now everytime I try new lights I first delete the old ones with the script. All of my favorite P4 lights that I purchased and those from free stuff work great in P5. Hope this helps.

OK..i tried the delete lights pyton deal...but after doing it 3 or 4 times, none of the lights will load anymore... p5 locked up...I can click on items, but none of them will do anything... ctrl/alt/del time... strange

the script I used is a different one than what you listed, lululee... I'll try this one..thanks
