There is some misinformation on the sale page, and some things aren't very clear, a couple of my popups seem to have not made it, too. I'll get this straightened out Monday, but in the meantime: Glamorous Vickie is a character made by morphing Vickie III, the clothing shown is what comes with her (not from Vickie Essentials and the Nite Life Shoe sets as it says), only other thing used in the pics (and not included) was hair and figure textures. I think she is pretty sweet, she comes with the dress shown and the lingerie and shoes. She has her own set of morphs included, and I did a injector for "recommended" morphs from the DAZ V3 morph sets, both types have matching morphs in the clothing. She can use all V3 textures and morphs and whatnot, of course. The clothing has Joint Controlled Morphs to match the figure, of course. The body was created by sculpting the mesh, taking it places the DAZ morphs don't go, only thing not changed were the hands and head, those were pretty nice, so I just scaled them a tad. I did include an optional "Morgan" head which some might like, if not there are INJectors and REMovers for this item. Plans are all my future clothing for V3 will come as a set with a version for stock Vickie III and another for Glamorous Vickie.

You might have been, she only had 5 sales when I checked about a hour and a quarter ago, must have only just gotten up. Somebody is working at DAZ tonight, she wasn't up this morning! Oh, did I mention she can sit in the dress, too? ;-)

Ya did a gereat job on this lady! I looked at the readme but I did see what the Z inj and rem poses were for I know they inject deltas but what ones? and I like the MT you included, you did way better at the body shape that daz originally did with the pin up setting. Looks like Izara is going to gave some serious competition

Sorry another stupid question, the dress we see fit Vicky3 (default) also? Or will you release an extra pack for V3? The dress is very beautiful. I have your Essentials for V2 and I hope you made a similar Pack for Vicky3. But I am not interested for a custom character for Vicky3, I have already your SMD and Pin-up Stephanie :| Mazak

Thanks L! If you have the DAZ body morph set there is a injector down the bottom (with a "Z" prefix) to add some of the morphs that I found worked especially well, a couple breast size ones and narrow waist and things like that. I put morphs that match them in the clothing, your note. There is also one to put a head morph that is included with GV, (called "Morgan") the one on the left in the top pic has it set, incidently. We (MABfairyqueen and I) are working on a V3 version of the clothing, it will be in the form of modifed mesh (new OBJ files, not morphs), plus some nice textures that will work with this set as well. There is also going to be some new items. We will probably have a reduced-price upgrade for GV purchasers, that will also include GV versions of the new items and the textures. The big advantage of a character like GV (aside from the fact she is cute!) is she is a new starting point for clothing, you go wild with the V3 morphs in regular Vickie III and a lot of the clothing will not fit. I noticed DAZ supported many (maybe all) of the V3 morphs in her new clothing, but guys like me find that too time intensive, I support about 6-8 of the more "popular" ones, I gather others don't even do that much. Many spend time turning the dials to make V3 beautiful, GV is that by default! ;-)

I think she certainly lives up to her name, and I'm planning on purchasing the package after my next paycheck makes an appearance ;). I'd love to see a side by side comparison of GV3 and standard V3, just to see the details of the new morph. Beautiful work, as always!

Thanks! Hey, good idea, too, I'll get one up later!

You wish is my command! Here she is with the Morgan face set, same pose on regular V3 too, see if you can figure which is which - a tough test!

Jim, how do have the JCMs in the clothing set up? I mean, when you pose GV herself, do the morphs in the clothing respond automatically and if so, are you relying on Poser 4 crosstalk to make that happen? Will it still work in Poser 5?

The clothing has JCM to match those in GV. You just about have to do that with any V3 top that is tight enough to show the breast outline. I've never used Poser 5, but I understand it was a problem with this, the morphs will have to be run manually, or perhaps the pose applied to the dress (I'm unsure). Works fine in P4, though!

OK, so you're relying on crosstalk to make the dress morphs stay in sync with the body morphs? Like Nerd's superconformers? Thanks Jim. I have a feeling this is going to become a big issue for Vic 3. It will be interesting to see how DAZ studio handles this stuff when it comes out.

I'm sure they (DAZ) will do it right! There are a couple easy, rational systems where figures could operate their clothing without operating other figures, I'm really suprized that they didn't take the time to get this right in P5. It isn't like people haven't been using JCM in clothing, most all of my dresses and skirts have had it over a year, for example, as it is the only way I know of to get a tight skirt to work correctly.

with a little scaling & dial sliding I got her dressed in the eclipse package. Still needs a little adjustment here & there but not too bad over all.

Jim Burton ( ) posted Tue, 28 January 2003 at 4:02 PM

Hey, it looks great on her, too!

meselfr ( ) posted Wed, 29 January 2003 at 7:56 PM

Hey Jim! She looks great, but I cannot find the "flat foot" morphs? Any ideas.... Thanks.

Jim Burton ( ) posted Wed, 29 January 2003 at 9:03 PM

Thanks! Oh, maybe because I called 'em "barefoot". I think I was going to call them flatfoot at one stage, but barefoot is a better name! You still have to take the bend out of the feet but the morph reshapes the feet for shoeless times.
