I am a new Poser user, and I am enjoying it so far. It's an awesome program! Right now, I am tired of the clothes that they gave me in the program, and I'm getting tired of staring at the naked man (not the woman tho :]) and I am trying to get clothes on him. I tried to use the clothes under figures, and I found out that u can't use them. Could someone please tell me how I get clothes on this man? Thanks for your help.

Dragonfly.. first question is: Which version of Poser have you got? Poser 4 or Poser 5?

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

OK :o) So what's the problem? You say that you can't use the clothes under "figures". In what way can't you use them? Is it that the man disappears and gets replaced with the clothes? Common newbie error :o) Coz this is what happens when you DOUBLE CLICK on the clothes, it replaces the previous character. You must use the single checkmark instead. But what do I know :o) You may have a totally different problem. Have you checked the manual? Sorry if it's a stupid question, but I'm not that good at reading manuals myself G. But actually the Poser manual starts with a tutorial on how to put clothes on your figures :o) Did this help? Else please write again with more details.

Oh one more thing... Those clothes you can't use... are they the ones that COMES with Poser or have you bought/downloaded them from somewhere else?

They are the ones that came with poser, and no I haven't read the manual :). I figured out by myself how to put the clothes in and match it up with the figure, but I don't know if i'm doing it right. Also, while I have your attention: how do I get clothes in that I have bought/downloaded? Thanks so much for your help.

Ah ok. See you have to conform the clothes once you get them loaded. In Figure -> conform to... you select the clothes first, then go to conform to and select the person (usually figure 1) and then the clothes should snap into place. I'm not good at explaining this though :o) I strongly suggest you have a peep in the manual G Now about getting downloaded clothes into Poser, there are many ways. The easiest thing is if the zip is properly pathed. If you open the zip and all the paths in it starts with runtime..... then you're in luck. In that case just unzip the file to your Poser directory with the "Use Folder Names" checked. Then it all ends up in the right places. If the zip isn't pathed, you can only hope for a readme that will explain where to put what. HERE is a brief explanation on where to put what. Hope that helps. I'm off to bed now :o)
