The idea is great, the walls, blood and spikes are great too. The body is too clean and too well-fed. Much more emaciated and dirtier. Ditto the arms. Possibly even some kind of taloned demon arms. The smallness of the room is also bothering me, for some reason. BTW, what's that border above the head?

Pidgy, I agree about the skin/body of the man. I also wonder if he would be able to hold his head up that much, just my opinion. I think the skin looks a little too shiny generally. The walls look great, like damp concrete. I think the floor looks out of place though, why not more concrete? Perhaps with a drain in the middle. If the thing over the guy's head is a rusty pipe, I'm not sure it adds much to the picture. If it's there for another reason, I'm not getting it. I personally like the smallness of the room. I think the claustrophobic effect adds to the general dark mood of the picture. Lin
pidjy: Are you familiar with the work of David Ho? This reminds me of some of his art.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

Agreed with the others about the thing above the head, I think it's a great image. The room's so narrow that a sense of anguish come immediately to the viewer (so IMHO you don't have to change the proportions), and also the arms stickin' out of the walls. Great job on the textures, I have to agree again with the others in saying that maybe the man has to be a little more skinny. Stefano
Well, the head being down relates to the fact he has been there a while, which I guess maybe he has, that blood would need a little while to drip down THAT far that much. But, he could've always lifted his head for a second. The skinny man aspect would make him relate more to the stereotypical visage of Jesus. But, I think (think) that if Pidjy wanted that, the man would have a beard and/or long hair...which he doesn't. Maybe the man is suppposed to realate more directly to us, than Jesus. Yeah, a little slice of David Ho, love his stuff. I really think you did a great piece here, it has to do with more than what you have done with Bryce, but what you're emoting and saying. AgentSmith

I feel the closeness of the room is excellent, and yes, more emaciated in body, and the arms thru the wall too, if he has been bleeding that much, a slight blueish cast to the skin and lips, dark shadows around the eyes...I love the image, have you heard the song by Depeche Mode, this reminds me of it somewhat...

Thank you all for your comments.. When making this image I was thinking about the body.. to make it more skinny, but I didn't want the body to look like the Christ, (as Agent Smith said it) Ok there is too much blood.. But the point was not to make a realistic totrure image, I thus choose the image (body, head, blood) to be symbolic, more than close to a medical reality.
