OK here is da Link to Place your StuffNo, they won't be touching. The navbar will be at the side, and the banner at top-centre, so no opportunity for wrapping, sorry tasquah. As for colours, the only restriction is the one stated. The edges of the two backroom images need to fade to black. I didn't think about animation when I did the rules, but I'd prefer the images to be static. Thanks for taking an interest ;) Kevin.

Could people look at the old backroom to see better what you are looking for when it comes to the navigation bar? Not that they have to copy it...just to see how it shows up on the page. I really hope people participate. I think you all are trying very hard to make this forum better. It would be nice if the members would give you a chance and show off their own skills. My two cents worth less than one tonight.Attached Link: New backroom sample
Thanks dialyn, good idea. I've put up some sample pages of the new backroom so that you can see more clearly where the banner and navbar wil be and how the navbar in particular works. (Caveat: Please ignore the samples I've knocked up. They look awful but get the concept across. And there's no new content there yet either ;))Someone better enter or I might, and then you all will be sorry. :-/ Don't say I didn't warn you. I like cute. Threat enough???? BTW, is this going to be one of those white letters on black backgrounds? You scared me a little with wanting the graphics to fade to black. I've changed the defaults on my Renderosity profile to avoide that vibrating combination. Just asking. I know people think it looks cool to have tiny white print on dark backgrounds even though it is so difficult to read (especially if you have aging eyes like mine). Of course, it's possible people must not want someone like me to be able to read the type when they make it extremely small and difficult to make out. That may be a good thing from both our perspectives, come to think of it.

Forum Banner & Backroom Mini-Contest
Since the backroom and forum banner are being reworked, here's your opportunity to be immortalised (well not quite, but it's pretty close ;))
The idea: To create a forum banner and a banner and navigation bar for the backroom.
The theme: Poser itself, whatever that means to you individually ;)
The Prize: your artwork on display at the top of the forum and the backroom. Oh, and bags of kudos from your Poser buddies.
The Rules:
Only one entry per person.
Create a matching set of three images. One for the main Poser forum, one for the backroom banner and one for the backroom navigation bar.
Image size and restrictions. The main forum banner should be 500 pixels across by 100 pixels and contain somewhere the single word "Poser". The backroom banner should be 500 pixels across by 90 pixels, contain somewhere the words "Poser Backroom" and all edges must fade to pure black. The navigation bar image should be 150 pixels across by 350 pixels and contain somewhere the following words: "FAQ", "Tutorials", "Tips'n'Tricks", "Challenges", "Contests", "Links" arranged in such a way as to allow hotspots to open other pages by clicking on them. It too should have all edges fading to pure black.
Here are some templates for the image sizes:
Absolutely no nudity, sexual content or violence. People don't have the option to not see the banners, so let's keep it clean.
Must be rendered in Poser (any version).
No restrictions on postwork or models used. In fact, postwork will be necessary in order to get the text looking good.
Voting: voting will be in a forum thread. One vote per person. The winner will then be selected from the top 10 by the Renderosity staff.
The contest is open immediately and will close on Saturday Feb 1st at 12 noon CST. Voting will open on Saturday Feb 1st at 12 noon CST and close on Tuesday 4th Feb at 12 noon CST.
So get cracking, and stun us all with your ideas!
