This is looking really good! It seems like the left forearm should be longer tho, based on the sketch you posted earlier. Like add the length of a fist... Just my opinion, it's hard for me to really tell until you start posing it. You're gonna sell this, right? How much?

_dodger ( ) posted Thu, 30 January 2003 at 5:30 PM

I'm planning to sell it for $5.

There're are couple of places I took liberties with details and sizes from my original sketch, either for ease of modelling, symmetry, mechanical rationality (i.e. to make it look a litle more plausible), or to correct myself since the original sketch was rendered in my brain, which doesn't always get perspective perfect B^)

Nice Robot. Question..What app are you modelling it with. It looks like Maya but Im not sure, they all look the similar to me. If it is Maya, are you using the standard toolset or a plugin modelling toolset. Cheers -LW

I'm using 3DSMax, actually. Thanks!

LordsWarrior ( ) posted Thu, 30 January 2003 at 6:26 PM

aah..kewl. MAX is a nice modeller. I only asked as Im starting a new modelling based job shortly in MAYA and Ive heard there are a few tools to make it easier. On another note..are you planing to Rig the model in MAX as well and sell a 3ds version too? Cheers -LW
