Seems there's an interest in maille lately, and the real thing's a hobby of mine. I figure it's an appropriate thing for my first posting. The maille texture was created from a scan of a piece of the real stuff, and I tried my hand at a bump map (also my first) based on the same pattern. Be kind...I obviously did nothing to improve the basic P4 male. Just seeing if anyone thinks this texture is worth the hard drive space. :)

I noticed that odd spot on the left arm, but I'm not sure why it showed up. The texture looks a little odd at the seams also, I've noticed. I suppose I could post it if there's interest. I sent a copy to pdblake...I'm interested to see what he does with it.

I haven't had time to do anything with it yet. I've just finsihed a rather large workload, so I might have time to play around with it over the weekend. It looks pretty good though.
