Every 3D app. that I've ever worked with makes Lights and Cameras non-renderable by default. Vue keeps the light source visible. How can I turn it off but still get the illumination?

Oh you have to set it no visible light. There is a setting there somewhere depending on if it's a sun are a light source. The sun one is located in the atmosphere editors and the lights ones are in the light properties spot on the right when you click on a light. Turn off lens flare too will help tons. You got to look aroung but the settings are there. Can't find them then check the book.

Trust me, I checked the book. And...I cannot find the "No visible light" option when I select one of the Spot Lights. Can you narrow it any further?

Ok well first find in the atmosphere editor the spot where is says no visable sun and turn that slider all the way to the left. oh then go to the last tab there and unclick the lens flare. Then click on your light and turn off lens flare there also and it's gone !

Agh...harrummmm... I got to the Atmosphere Editor. 'Visible Sun' was turned off. All the way to the left. "Enable lens flare" is off. And...the light is still there. What did I miss?

MightyPete: What does the last arrow on the right mean? It's pointing at the 'Color' tab...but I can't make anything happen.

Well it's not suppose to be pointing at the color tab it's pointing at the lens flare tab.(the funny star there) See in Vue you cannot see the lights only the lens flare. Click on that lens flare part and turn off the lens flare for the light. Notice I'm sitting on the light there. You got to select it first. Do that for ALL LIGHT SOURECS. They will vanish, I tried it works just fine.

Hey all, What would happen if you were to turn off the render lights found within the render options? Would it not render the lights at ALL? Or would it not render the light source but render the light emitted from the source? Yes, I am serious here. Haven't tweaked that setting yet.

ANd if you try it yourself Aken? You also can try "only selected objects" and the other features. If you choose one of these, Vue will do what you ask for:-)

Can't do it just yet. I am at work. That's why I asked....plus I am doing maintenance on my new PC, so I am Vueless right now. But never fear Gebe, I'll try it soon.
