Well more than likely this is a actaul scale type model meaning its accurate it says it includels a full interior and under carriage im assuming they are brokering it for someone and it has a polycount of almos 300,000 which means its more than likely movie quality considering all these factors the modeler probaly spent a good deal of 2 months working on this if not more so if you assume that hes charging basicly 2months salary plus the cost to cover the brokering which is probaly 30 to 50 percent so basicly hes probaly asking about 4500 for the model which if its a fully detailed realistic high poly model really isnt bad considering it will be bought by a ad agency or archetexture firm maybe a film agency who has tons of cash sometimes its faster and easier even more cost effective to buy this model for a comercial you need in 2 weeks rather than to try and pay a modeler or team of modelers to do it but i agree looking at it at a glance makes you think Damn ! lol

I was only wondering cos i have seen alot of high detail models also here in Renderosity but the price is 50-100$ that model price is almos as real car price :))... Anyway i know that it takes long time to model these but still wondering .... :)) Maybe i should change my profession :)

There are many facotrs i think that contribute to what you charge for example here at renderosity you could sell a model for 50 or a 100 dollars do to the volume you sell you could easily make 8000 to 9000 dollars im guessing however if you are selling at a sight that deals with a few sales at a time youd need to charge a much higher percentage for example if neededd to make a realistic hand or arm etc for a hospital i could easily justify doing the work and charging say 1000 dollars because id need to cover the time it took to make from one sale only ! however if i sold the same model here i could justify selling it for 10 and hoping to get 100 sales the market of course is a factor as well there are few here that would spend 8000 for any model at any cost however a ad agency geting paid 50,000 for a 30 sec spot wouldnt be as concerned many other things come into play as i said these are just a few
