I'm still working on this, got to do a lot more work on the background, lighting and sky but I'm looking for a little help. I want to put a ring of flame around the female figure. FastTraxx's "inferno" texture is precisely what I want, but I am looking to create a leaping flames effect. When I use a transparency map to achieve this, the fire effect looks very washed out. Has anyone any suggestions as to how I can create this FX? Paul

Hi Paul, Perhaps instead of using just one object for the ring of fir,use many spheres, and try different mapping modes and scales for the texture.also play with transparency, You could try random sizes of spheres to make some appear to be leaping. I've just always had better luck using multiple objects rather than just one for fire. Good luck, Hawkfyr

Have you tried using the texture with several toroids and playing with the transparancy and such, or in volume settings the base level and fuzziness? Personally, when I want flame, I put some in and then make it look good with eye candy in post
