I'm proud to present my first ever conforming figure:

Conforming Saddle Blanket for the P4 Horse!

This saddle blanket includes a few morps to blow the corners around. It also comes with two blanket textures, four fur textures, eight quilted textures, and a texture template. All the textures include bump maps and MAT pose files, and the fur textures include a transparency map.

I'd like to thank Steve Shanks, who helped me with fixing a problem with the mesh, and to EnglishBob who also made several helpful suggestions. I'd also like to give a mention to Bloodsong for her tutorial on easy conforming figures.

The blanket will be in Free Stuff as soon as I finish zipping it up and uploading it. :^)

Here's some of the textures included. I rather like that fur.

LOL that top middle aztec style blanket reminds me of my PonyClub days. Everyone else had those nice sheepskin or quilted blankets, and here I was on my 20yo mare with a stock saddle LOL Needless to say I didn't stay a member for long. I did win one race complete with a blue ribbon once, but that was because the rest of the competitors went the wrong way! LMAO I was the only one headed in the right direction.

Congratulations... it looks really good. I'm partial to the fur on the lower right. :)

I think that it's awesome that someone is making some nice freebies for the poser horse. Thanks a million! :) Do you have a mane prop (that can be transmapped) in the works by any chance?

xoconostle ( ) posted Sat, 01 February 2003 at 9:48 PM

Absolutely beautiful, Hai Gan! I love 'em. Thank you.

It looks great! Congratulations! I like all the textures, but I like the woven one the best. Looking forward to downloading it and thank you!

Very nice...anxiously awaiting it :)

Very definately a nice prop, thanks. The top right looks like sheepskin.

Thanks everyone! I'll be off in a sec to finish the file list off and get the blanket posted. I ended up going to bed before finishing it off last night.

As VampireWriter asked, there is a mane in the works- although so far it's no more than a forelock, and still needs a LOT of work. Depending on just how much work and how well it turns out it may end up in the Marketplace rather than in the Freebies.

There's also a feather prop for the heels in progress. I'll eventually do a tail as well. The next horse freebies are likely to be brushing boots (the front pair are in progress) and a summer sheet, with a driving harness somewhere on that 'to do' list as well.

No idea on exact timescale, as I'm also working on cat and lion Walk Designer sequences.

Here's the summer sheet I mentioned. I've only got the buckles left to model, and then it needs turning into a conforming figure- which should prove a little easier the second time around!

There's a headcollar to go with it as well, although that's not in the pic.

Oh, nice!! love it all...that forelock looks great.
