Who said object editor? I thought PS can do the texture map work on 3D object like Deep Paint 3D. That is what the topic is about. Anything work on texture map is still considered an "image editor" not an "object editor" Last year I saw someone posted an image with half wireframe and texture map on other side with a poser figure. He posted it with PS tutorial somewhere. I could not remember how he did it. Photoshop has alot of good brushes and other features. Thats why I asked around if it can import obj in it. Waldoo
wut u were asking is if u can import an OBJ file and pretty much spary paint it in PS. u can modify texture maps in PS, or u can do it all in postwork, u cant spray paint a 3d object in any image editor. the mobius effect is easily done by rendering 2 images. the scene w/ the person in it, and another displayed in wireframe view. u then put them on seperate layers, and do a gradient in the transparency mask. that was how it was done, it wasnt done with textures.
Photoshop does not import 3D data. It is a bitmap editor. That's like asking why Poser cant import your Excel spreadsheet. Horses for courses. Deep Paint does however include a Photoshop plugin that will transfer bitmaps with UV mapping co-ordinates, including the wireframe overlay on a seperate Photoshop layer to allow you to paint it within Photoshop and then transfer it back to map the 3D object. I recommend you get "Texture Weapons" to go with Deep Paint as this makes life a LOT easier.

I am considering to purchase Adobe Digital Collection. I have a question. Can Photoshop import OBJ into it and paint on it like Deep Paint 3D? Waldoo
