okay...this afternoon, i decided to play with v3, and work on a character. my eyes weren't tired, or anything...just plopping along, enjoying my sunday, and playing with some textures, and dials. all rightey then, i'm looking at my picture...trying to decide how to change her...when her right eye blinked shut...and, THEN....it opened back up to where it was before. okay...i told myself it was a trick of my eyes, but, i did reboot...since i know poser has some weird glitches. after the reboot, i sat back down, opened the same figure, and started where i had been. IT DID IT AGAIN. this time, i rebooted, and changed the eye texture. i had no more problems for the rest of the afternoon. does anyone know what could of caused it? i do have the eye set on blink .350. but, that has never caused actual winking in the past. pop...pop...Poppi!!!

Two theories: 1. Your computer (and possibly the V3 CR2) is possessed by spirits and/or demons. 2. You're completely barking. Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

Hmmmmm.... maybe she liked you. Actually, something like that has happened to me when loading a pose. The pose would load almost in pieces. First the head, then the legs, then the arms. It looked like Mike was waving. Then when I moved the camera it did it again. It was a large memory intensive scene, so I figured it was just trying to do too much with the available memory. It all finally wroked, but it was a bit disconcerting.

It's the beginnings of artificial intelligence, BEWARE, we are all now doomed.

dizzie....i remember something similar being posted...and, pdj, glad to hear from another with a similar problem. now, i would love to hear from anyone else who has had similar problems....dizzie...do you remember the thread? a link might help explain things. i was using v3 and global lights, and bombshell hair, but, i have worked with much larger files in the past and had nothing of the sort happen.

I've had strange behavior like this in P5. Mine seemed to start after adjusting a morph dial then using Ctrl+Z to undo. Then the morph became animated of its own free will. Is definitely a little surprising when it happens. Beth

If memory serves me correctly, it has something to do with moving the mouse over the area that contains the animation pop-up. For some odd reason, doing this in P5 produces ghost affects. Then again... I could be wrong.

And the saddest thing, Michael scrolling through his morphs and plaintively looking for the "Viagara" dial

This is a glitch in P5 and was reported a while back. Something causes the animation to run in the background. Since no body parts are animated, nothing seems to happen... except for the eyes which have a "blink" command. Somehow, you turned on the animation which causes the blinking motion. How and why is still a mystery- try doing a search in the Poser Beta forum for a solution.

bloodsong ( ) posted Mon, 03 February 2003 at 2:37 PM

heyas; i did NOT wink at you!! that was a display glitch! if you hit ENTER, that supposedly starts the animation running at the drop of a hat. if you want to use the keyboard to press any button in p5, use the space bar. unless you like living dangerously. :)

Now Poppi, tell us. What exactly makes you so sure you are NOT crazy ? LOL Compiler

Poser characters usually only act up when you're not looking. If you watch them long enough though, they can't seem to help themselves. :)
