Anybody have suggestions for making a corn field? Thanks.

Varian has a cornstalk in .dxf format in Free Stuff. It imports well into Poser, but you'll need to regroup it should you wish to apply more than one material.

The mesh is relatively low-poly, but importing enough of them to fill an entire cornfield would be resource-prohibitive.

If you feel like trying something ambitious, you could render an image of several cornstalks, create a corresponding transmap, and apply them to a square prop for an impromptu cardboard cutout. Dozens of these square props shouldn't tax your system.

The illusion doesn't work well from overhead, though, if you're planning an aerial view of crop circles or something.

Here's an example of what a transmapped cornfield might look like. I used two rows of squares (with 10 squares per row) in this instance.

If you like, I can supply the prop file, texture, and transmap.

Yeah, that would be great. Thanks. You can e-mail it to me at AlaisAngel@psi-fi.com
