Hey Little_Dragon, I should have expected you in here! I'll have a look now! What did you search for? I'd like to find out what this is refered to as. I would'nt say model making, 'cause that's more like what we're doing here. = )

The technology is called 3D printing or rapid prototyping.

Hey I think this place is right up my alley, thank dude! They even have 3d-cc and DAZ banners waving, they must be ready for mainstreaming, I wonder why we do'nt here from them much around here? They say thier models come as low as $25 and as complex as $25,000. = )

IIRC, we had a thread about this in May or so last year. I think a figure with a detail level of Mike/Victoria 2 was around the $200 - $300 mark.

I'm glad you mentioned it SamTherapy, thanks! Any idea what that thread was named, or which Forum it was in. What I want is to take the programable extra keypad and put it into som ekind of setup to perform my CTRL-R functions for be. It'll be like a big bozo I can hit to strart all of my renders. What do you think the model should be of, a godly helm, DAZ's Morphing Skull, Teeth? = )

How much was it? = )

photoreactive resin RPDs generally run about 1/2 million. Thermal metal ones go for more, but mostly are only found in really high-end machine shops and on submarines.

Gadget Printers are going to be one of the big winners over the next few years.

nu-be - Want to do some searching for us? I'm sure plenty of people here are interested in what you srote of, but you know what you're talking about. I'm going to go write Wired now, but... Little_Dragon and comnpany - How about 3D scanning, the opposite process, what is this known as, and where may I find services and/or resources? = )
