Subject: Applying image to a 2D primitive in Bryce5

Bryce5 As part of a College project, I have created a virtual art gallery with framed pictures on the walls. Each picture has a label next to it. The labels are the 2D rectangle primitive. Each label has attached a text image created in Photoshop-just black lettering on white ground. My problem is that occasionally some of the text images move from the designated label to another label. When I go back & reapply the correct image to the label, it might alter another label as well. I have tried locking the object, but with no success. Can anybody help please? Arnold

The text images do have different filenames right?

Yes..........each .jpg is saved with an individual name.

Hummm very curious, the labels aren't grouped together either?

You might try going in and saving a list of the textures. When you open the dialog for picture textures - click save list. Sometimes Bryce gets confused in its little database of pictures and saving the list keeps it on track each time you open the file. Scott

No...........The labels aren't grouped together I'll certainly try saving the list of 'textures' as suggested by Scott Thank You

Each texture has it's own little box in the material editor correct? You aren't loading one texture into the box of a previous texture?

Yeah, like everyone's been saying... I have done this SO many times I could kick myself (still do it) Each time you bring in a new "label", make absolutely positive you are not clicking "load", but you are actually clicking on top a new empty square. Otherwise you will get the problem you have been having. Hope this helps AgentSmith

*also, after clicking each new square you will be loading the color texture, once that has been brought in, then you can click "Load" that is at the top/middle, that will load a seperate bump, if needed.
