Subject: Cyber-Begging with Carrara...

kelley ( ) posted Tue, 04 February 2003 at 2:45 PM · edited Mon, 10 February 2025 at 9:25 AM

I gave my copy of Carrara 1.1 to a young nephew [at Christmas] who has developed a fascination with 3D modeling. [I'm on to 2.1] Now I need a file from the Content Disc, and he swears that it's not on that disc. The file I need is: arm+hand_2_IKready.car...should be in a folder called 'INVERSE KINEMATICS'. These are the hands that are used on the Eovia sites tutorial. Could someone out there [1] confirm that the files really exist on the disc, and [2] e-mail me a Zipped copy of the file? [kelley95124@yahoo.com] I trust that I'm not skirting copyright here. I can post my S/N if need be. Thanks.

You could probably also get these from Eovia. They're pretty cool about stuff like this over there. -Kix

Good thought. Thanks, Kix...

Your nephew appears to be correct. I did a search of the 1.1 content CD and there is no file by that name, nor is there a folder called "Inverse Kinematics". If I had found it I would have sent it to you.

Thanks JayPeG, I'll have to sort this out with Carrara. I just reviewed the tutorial on their site, written for 1.1, and it tells you, straight up, that you can load the model from the Carrara Content CD.
