He all you bryce guru's :D Do any of you know how to make some real nice grass for semi close up shots ? Wavey curved grass if possible ? Ive seen a couple of spikey grass tutorials on my travels but none that really look any good ! Thanks very much if you can help or point me in the right direction ;) esp

Most of us use import grass made in other applications for that. You can try www.3dplants.com or if you prefer to build your own stuff you can try an app called Bantam3D or PlantStudio. Hope that helps. :)

Bantam 3D works great, I'm giving a try on Plant Studio, but for the grass the filesizes are way too big. I too don't use anymore spiked terrains for grass. But, oh, well, if you asked for guru's, then don't read this and stick with what DryFly says (just take a look at his gallery and you'll know why!) :) Stefano

Do yourself a favor and go to 3D Cafe. They have several clumps of grass for free. Here is a link to a pic of mine where I used 3 or 4 different grass objects from there.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

as a last resort, I think there's an 'almost bury the bamboo tree' method, where you increase the number of leaves. It was in a previous post.
