the photography gallery isnt only for professional shots bro. Its for photography, which means people can post pics of friends family pets and junk in general if they want. Majority of the people who post to the galleries have low end digi cams in the 1-2 mega pixel range with little or no options, never mind removable lenses. My advice, live with it. If ya don't like'em, don't click'em bro.
"..........and learn new techniques while developing the skills that allow each individual to realize their own unique artistic vision." By posting comments like this I'm helping people to learn....they can make their pet pictures interesting..... no-one ever comments on pet pictures (except "aw, cute") so I'm giving out general education without favoritism - and if just ONE person sees what I mean and tries it, I've benefitted the forum. My Logic. ;) (",)
BSTEPH thinks back to when a certain complainer posted colorful but admittedly non professional pics of HIS CAT!!!!!! Jordy, calm down. Leave your motor bike for a sec. go outside smell the roses and log onto http://digitalbabes2.com/ Puruse the gallery. Find some nice person and photograph a version of your own. Build a shield to go with Antoonios sword. Come on man the gallery last time I looked was better in general content than say three years ago. Times change. Or better yet post more pictures of your creation. BTW. You stuff is really improving. Bsteph
Actually Punky, Thank You. Your parrot pic is a perfect examply of what I really don't mind - it's not sat on a perch with tacky wallpaper behind, it's got an interesting background. Well Done!!! Erm, is Diddle still alive or is it just your photo?!? Fish pic - boooooring!!! Chick Pic - booooooring!!! YOU HAVE AN EMU?!? Talk about stereotyping Australians..... your fellow convicts should hang you for that one...... ;) (",)
I thought "stuffed" had a very special meaning in 'Stralian? Nothing wrong at all with posting constructive, helpful, comments on pet pictures, or any other type of pictures. Also, nothing wrong (at least in the Gallery) about posting, "awwww.... cute," to many different types of photos. Me thinks anyone who posts wants to share and learn. At least that's my first assumption, until proven wrong. Invite the "boring" photographers over to the Forum, where open discussion can (perhaps) teach people something. As for a special Cat Challenge, to my thinking you get the best participation doing things folks already want to do. If we are going to have Kitty Pictures, let's try for good Kitty Pictures.

Grrrrrrr........ pet photos this time. I HATE THEM!!! I mean, not exactly the most demanding of subjects, you don't exactly have to go far to do them, and they need absolutely no setting up at all. Unless you wanna dress the animal up and humiliate it...... OK, a plea to anyone who reads this; if you're gonna do a pet pic, at least take the time to set it up properly (dare I use the word 'professionally' even in a vague sense?) - y'know a background cloth or something? If it was a human model you wouldn't just snap the pic with the sofa / hi-fi / nasty contrasting carpet in the background, would you?!? (unless it was a candid shot.... fair enough.) For the sake of arguement I won't include shots of animals doing something really interesting/funny in this gripe, cos that's ok, but a normal shot of a doe-eyed animal, at least put some thought into it, huh? If not, just stick the pics in your snapbook at home to bore your friends when they come around. Gripe over. Thanks.
