Ok ...I am having a major headache and do not have a clue what to do. I have a few things..models and a couple of hiar figures that wont showup. I go to make a new figure and it goes through the motions but nothing appears. The dials change to show the morph dials.... the drop down shows the figure as being there and its body parts......but NOTHING on the canvas. I have taken the things out and reinstalled them and everything under the sun but they will not show up on the lil canvas window. HELP

Is anything showing up when you load it? Are You sure your camera(s) are looking at the figure(s)?

Next time, try switching to your Aux. camera and pull way back until you can see much more than the default Main camera sees. This afternoon I loaded a pair of glasses for Vicki three times and the exact same thing you describe happened. Turned out to be appearing way to the right and sort of behind the Main camera....If I could have virtually stomped on the darn things somehow, it would have made me feel better! ;)

Dark Elegance, The auxiliary camera is incredibly useful as a find-it-fast aid. You can set it way back to overlook your entire studio the way Pat describes and then memorize that dot. I think you can even rename the camera if it helps. Often props brought in from another program will be the wrong scale, or something with IK will rotate 7 inches from Sunday and into a dark dimension. Always zero these items out or import them to the center of the Poser universe. This helps, even if they are the size of Gulliver and the camera is inside his tummy. The Main camera rotates around the center of the universe. The Posing camera rotates around the center of the selected figure. Moving a figure through a scene shouldn't change the position of the Main camera... it is still tethered to the universe IIRC. Moving a figure will change the Posing camera. There are times when you want one effect, and times when you'll want the other. Another tip... select the Posing camera. Use "point at" to orient it to the object you want to find (there is a drop-down hierarchy, so you don't even need to see the culprit you are hunting). It will now point at your figure or object no matter where you move them, so at least you'll know that they are really in the scene. I haven't tried this with the camera inside a large object such as a room, but it is helpful for regular stuff. In ProPack and P5 you get multiple viewing panes. Having the auxiliary camera in one of those panes saves hair. Trust me on this. Carolly

I have done all that it wont even show a ground shadow or even a circle around the figure. I have gone nuts with this as according to everything on my screen there should be something in view. One is a tiger I have the other is the Kaz hair from Daz...both show up on the list fine....but when I try to load it....I get the dials but no figure. nothing not even anything to show the figure to be in the spot the dials show. I at first thought maybe a file had been defective and that is why it didnt show but nadda! I boot the puter....I pan out.....I try to highlight the figure body part per drop down...it is maddening! The files are not imported. {though I had that problem with a imported till I rendered it and poof it apeared. I have tried that as well .......and nothing.} I do wish to thank everyone that has taken the time so far to comment I really appreciate it. Carolly..I do thank you for the advice as it helped me with another problem I was having! I do have pro pack just have never used it lol. DarkElegance

Have you tried importing the OBJ file directly (look in the CR2/HR2 for the location)? I had the "invisible figure" problem with PhilC's free Romantix trousers and importing the OBJ with all options unchecked gave me a visible item, resaving it then made the CR2 work - very strange, apparently I was one of only two victims.

I don't know if this will help, but have you tried deleting the rsr file in the Geometries directory? Sometimes that fixes quirks like this. Melanie
